Why didn't Skarloey just pull out his duel disk and challenge Smudger to a Yu-Gi-Oh duel? And did Vick work on the Mid-Sodor Railway in the 1880s, how is he still alive? He should've died of old age around the 1910s or 20s.
He was in his 30s when he worked on the mid sodor and now he's in he's in his 50s

Despite the fact that almost everybody born in the 1840s would've died of old age between the 1900s and 1920s, and men like Vick would've died much earlier due to unhealthy habits like smoking, labor-intensives jobs, and a lack of modern medicine.
