    I made this because I wanted to see what breath of the wild's menu would look like if it had the classic menu music like the old games, and yeah clearly something has been missing here, lol.
    Enjoy!

    Not gonna lie, I thought that when the Guardian's still came up on the screen, we would immediately get the Guardian Battle track, going by what the thumbnail implied.

      -Not only that, but as soon as the music changes the guardian's eye starts glowing, then the menu options become temporarily unavailable except for a new option that says: "parry" and if you don't parry the incoming laser you are sent back to the system menu and have to launch the game again. ^-^

    I would treasure and look forward to the main menu music every time I start a new zelda release. I wish we could have it back in future releases. Seeing this video makes it feel so strange that there isnt any menu music.

    If this had been the menu music, I almost certainly would've sit and listened for a while the first time I ever booted up the game. Music is such a powerful medium.

    Would be nice if you made one for TotK. Maybe like a slowed down version of the lightroot theme or a piano cover of the voices you hear at the start of the game (Prologue).

    The weird thing is that the Wii U release did have menu music. I didn’t know that until I watched a music quiz on The Video Game Professors’ channel a few months ago, having only played the Switch release.

    Why did this make me tear up?

    • @XMan2001X
      @XMan2001X Před 6 dny +1

      I’m not sure about you, but it made me tear up because I missed when my babysitter would bring her Nintendo 64 and Zelda: Majora's Mask. I would eat my dinner and finish my homework in a hurry just so I could play the game as much as I could before bedtime. I was on the living room floor in front of the TV and console, I wrapped underneath a blanket with my arms sticking out, and the menu music enthralled me, while the babysitter was on the couch behind me. It was a cozy feeling, like Nintendo knew how to ease players into the game before the adventure began. If I wasn’t playing the game (because a lot of things in that game scared me), the menu music would help me sleep, like it was a lullaby. Imagine my surprise when I entered Clock Town's Great Fairy Fountain.

    I agree. I probably would have liked that better. 😊 I remember being a bit disappointed about the signature Zelda intro being removed, but overall it was still a good game, and I had lots of fun playing it!

  • @sonicgamer178
    @sonicgamer178 Před 6 dny

    I always ADORE the title screens of older Zelda games (Twilight Princess has to be my favorite, with Ocarina of Time being a very close second!). I started with BOTW as a zelda game, then did Skyward Sword, OOT, MM, Twilight Princess, Wind Waker, then Tears of the Kingdom. I was shocked seeing the older games having title screen music that were also just INCREDIBLE! I was super disappointed not having TOTK have music! Next Zelda game better feel more like a traditional Zelda game: give us more upbeat music, I'm tired of the calm soundtrack in Tears of the Kingdom, I barely remember the OST in that game compared to every other game, even though I have over 390 hours and already 100% everything! As well as more restrictions with dungeon exploration and when it comes to accessing the final boss and Master Sword!

    The whole minimalist presentation which seems very popular in tech of this era doesn’t fit Zelda at all imo. Zelda is extensive and fun and epic, no reason to act all restrained in the menus like it’s an arthouse film.
    Just look at what a little menu music can do for you! Nothing wrong with showing some style. On another level this even applies to the story and arguably overworld music.
