They had to combine a non-existent state misdemeanor, which is beyond the statute of limitations to a federal felony, which was not prosecuted by the federal government, also beyond the statute of limitations… That just isn't the way American justice works and everybody should protest this,

UNLESS you are in a New York courtroom and your name is Trump. Then they tailor the law to be WHATEVER is required to achieve their goal.
Rest assured that now that the seal of legal integrity has been broken, they'll be using the justice system to go after all their enemies. We can basically consider this a feature of the justice system now in every state, red or blue.

As I recall, many of these ladies' stories were out there prior to the 2016 election. Also, the statute of limitations already ran on the clerical charge, but NY passed legislation to allow the prosecutor to pursue Trump.

I got a question, didn't Trump fund his own election in 2016 or thru small dollar donations thru various PACs? He didn't take money from Tax dollars. He could have taken tax dollars to help fund his campaign, but most presidents over the last 50 years or so haven't, due to the burdens and limitations that are placed on a candidate if they take public funds.
