- How to send Medicines abroad from India? Documents & Process. In this video @SyedMaqsoodAglaKhadam explains how to send Medicines abroad from India? Documents & Process for sending medicines under Allopathy, Unani, Ayurveda, and Homeopathy to the Dubai, Saudi Arabia, USA, Europe, Africa, Australia or Asia Pacific there is a Standard Operating Procedure followed by Private Courier Service or the Indian Postal Service as per the guidelines issued by the Government of India.
It consists of various documents to be collected and arranged in order as explained in this video including obtaining a NOC - No Objection Certificate from the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation - CDSCO under the Director General of Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India.
However, this Organisation does not issue a NOC for alternative medicines such as Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Herbal & Unani medicines for Persona Export. One has to approach the Department of AYUSH for the same.

Is it possible to ship Insulin cartridges to US? In India, we use pens and buy cartridges for insulin medication. In US, cartridges are not available, but KWik-pens must be bought from local pharmacy and its very costly (like 1200$). How to replenish orders from India on a timely basis and what is the procedure.

@gabrielrocsta, to the best of my knowledge AYUSH will not golive you any NOC for home made products. Therefore check with a private courier service or send it by india post as food stuff and not medicine since its home made.

@nomanalikhan, yes sending medicine to UAE is same however it must be checked once again in your city with the authority as rules may change from time to time .

@Tanvi Kale, parcel will be delivered on your address. If any medicine is banned in the destination country then you have to seek suggestion from your doctor.

@@SyedMaqsoodAglaKhadam I checked on the Ministry of Health Website for UAE , they require a form to be filled for banned medicines. Once it is approved, you can get your medicine parcel. Everytime you need your medication you need to place this request with the Ministry.

@BABUMUSHAI, to the best of my knowledge, prescription has to be from Indian doctor if sending medicines from here. However you may check with postal department for required documents that may give you the correct idea.

@Diksha Agarwal, in person you can carry but with a doctors prescription along with it however it all depends upon the mood of customs authority after landing in USA they may permit you to carry or simply throw it. So be prepared and hope for the best.
Can you explain how to get medication sent from India to The Republic Of Panama? I know the medication i take was being imported, but none has arrived since September of last year. And I can not find the medication anywhere here in the country.
I know 2 distributors and hospitals willing to place large orders and recieve them.

@gulshanrJani, carrying medicines for yourself should not be a problem as long as you have a valid visa for that duration of two years and your doctor's prescription along with you. However rules may change from time to time so it's better that you cross check with your carrier/ airline for being sure. If you are unable to get any answer from them and still wish to take a chance then divide the quantity of medicines in proportions and keep it in different bags so that the bulk quantity does not become obvious and the customs authority may wrongly think that you are exporting for commercial purpose.

@Bharath Nayak since you will have a residence visa there is no problem in carrying as much as you want provided there is a doctors prescription, medical stores bill and most importantly a Valid resident visa for that period. However just consult your career (Airline) too before purchasing desired stocks to know latest rules.

@Rahul Saroj, no they don't need. This is called 'personal import' meant for their own use and not large quantities for trading.

They are the ones who will guide you. Another option is to reach out to your local Post Office and ask for International Parcel Service. They will give you the right information. Hope this helps.

@@aneesh3039 when you are carrying yourself then there is no restriction. You can carry medicine stock as much as you want corresponding to your visa validity but remember to carry supporting doctor prescription and medical stores bill and keep medicines in checkin baggage.

However Keep medicines in checkin baggage and also keep a copy of your friends passport with his/her visa page included with prescription. In case customs dept asks you for it. @Rayees Rather, yes, carrying medicines in-person is never a problem as long as you have the doctors prescription and medical stores / pharmacy bill with you. But keep it in check in baggage don't take it in cabin. In case of any doubt or further clarity you can check with your airlines.

@Sheetal . This process is for sending by courier only. You can carry with you for your personal use but better have a prescription written and put medicines in check in baggage. As for quantity seek advice from your Airline. If required call Patanjali on their customer care number and seek advice about how to get a prescription. This way it's always good to validate Info from them also.

@md kamal, nahi agar aap medicines apne saath le jarahe hai to ye sab karne ki zaroorat nahi hai. Ye sirf medicines post/courier service se rawana karne k liye hai.

@Rushda Iman, usually yes but still check with your airline. Sometime the rule differs from country to country and from one airline to another. And put it in check in baggage do not carry in cabin.
