I would want the entire home because I do not want to disturber the other owners. Plus, I like privacy and with this property it is impossible to have that if they are there on holiday.

At this point I wanted to see the rest to decide if it was interesting: even a quick look will do. But probably it also depends if you can close off the common area and maybe have internal stairs from the ground floor up.
I would be interested in seeing more, especially since the other family only uses their side for vacations.
I'm also with the folks who are asking how exactly the space is divided and what exactly is shared, as the video didn't entirely make clear. If it's just the truly common areas, then it would be no different from buying a condominium apartment. If the neighbors somehow have to walk through any space that connects your private spaces, like a hallway connecting your living room to bedroom, then that for me would be a definite hard no. 🙂

I think it would depend on the set up. It is hard to visualize what that shared area would be like without seeing how it is positioned.

I'm not quite ready to buy yet, but I would consider the situation if there was could be a clause that I would get first chance at buying the rest of it when the time comes for them to sell. I would also want to know via video tour what is shared and what is private.
Thank you for your videos, but in this case you are right. Shared house is not very interesting. It can be taken only if a lot cheaper of the whole house.

If the spaces could be made separate and independent it may interest someone depending on their use but as a whole I would not personally Be interested. But it may suit someone’s particular need!

Sharing with a vacation rental could get antsy...especially if you've no idea who is coming and going and how many there are etc. Plus is the splitting of the house a sore spot in the family involved? And I'm probably not even someone who would be there during normal tourist season (aka summer).

Not clear on which areas you would need to share. If only on room or if living,kitchen bed and bath all ours maybe other rooms could just be considered hallways
A shared house with strangers is not exactly what I would fancy. I'd be willing to pay a couple 10 K€ to get some privacy, even for a holiday home.

If the price is right, I mean really right..They'd have to come down on that 35k. What it sounds like what they really want is a roommate to share expenses. That's a very hard sell. Have them decide to sell the whole thing, commit! Curious if this is an Italian kind of thing or if this really is as unusual a setup as it sounds to my American ears.

shared hmm tricky it depands if i would meet that cousin and he is someone i could get along i would even find it positive as for a Holliday home its ok if someone looks after it from time to time when i am not there , and if you have such a close neighbour and if he speeks German or english then i coule learn italien
