Yes, it is.
It's not really appropriate for video production because of the video noise and audio quality, but as night vision goggles they do a lot of useful things beyond just seeing in the dark.
I was more impressed by the Black and white IR mode. The color mode to me seemed over bright, and therefore noisier than I had hoped. Interestingly, I found when I switched from IR to color that for a second the color looked much richer and more saturated before turning over bright and noisy. I wish there were a way to turn the brightness down through the app. I also wish the app did more than simply repeat the FAQ and provide connection to the Camera.
I would also have some ideas on improving some of the things you mention, but let’s not forget the reasonable cost for some impressive technology. You can get better, up to military grade performance, but you'll pay for it. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. :)

Although I too, was in landlord and owned several properties, I don’t feel qualified to give investment advice. I can tell you what I did. I sold them off one by one to finance my holdings in Mexico and fund my lifestyle for the last 20 years. Not really investing it in much more than my house in Mexico. As it turns out that’s turned into a good return on the what I paid for it years ago.

I just got mine in the mail today used it pitch black outside worked vary well i am vary happy with it color mode cant use ir with and pitch black its fir med to low light mode but the ir mode is amazing for super dark video recorder us okay not great actual device is great quality good visuals
Color mode works well looks pretty good and correct looking colors
Zooms works good but not super clear when 16x zoom
Foucus works well all in all well worth the 200
Also it is kinda zoomed in close
Little t8 no lag when useing solo
Can hook up to phone and have other people watch q little laggy their but on the phone

I don’t think so. I’ve charged it once and it’s still 80% after using it a bunch in the video when I was talking about the battery being at 50% and it actually appeared to be milk maybe 30%. It was before I ever charged it just Whatever I used as it came out of the box. But if two batteries are good for eight hours and you only get half of that. …. How much do you really need?
Mine does not show anything but a black screen when connecting with WiFi and just looking for tips on where to get help with it? Also, it looks like you might be living the way I am considering. Do you live in your RV full time?

Are these at 1x where you could wear them on a helmet?
I don't think so. They have the 1/4 inch tripod mount threaded hole, but I don't see how that fits on your face.
Just recieved mine a couple days ago still cant figure out the color night vision its just a blank screen when i switch to it

Yes it’s in real time. I have walked in the forest in total darkness. The manual focus takes some getting used to.

Only if you have reason to see in the dark without being seen yourself or without disturbing wild life. I wish I had them a few weeks ago when I was at Cibola Nation Wildlife Refuge.

Garbage. Low quality chinese security camera. Don't waste your money.
It worked well for the price and it’s NOT a security camera. You must have commented on the wrong video …. or ….
the technology behind the camera is basically a security camera. Lots of the camera makers out there are using the same sensor. I didn't comment on the wrong video. This product is overhyped garbage. The images suck, the magnification ruins the experience, the brightness is too bright-destroys night vision. It's basically a piece of Chinese made garbage.
