Bringing in the green took an already pretty living room to another level. I love it! Cozy, warm, and welcoming.
The couches look great and switching the rug gave the room more warmth. Don’t get discouraged about your videos. I think people just get busy in the summer and aren’t watching as much. Keep them coming, people will watch.
Totally agree ,I find that I'm out and about more in summer and when I finally settle in for the nite to watch my favorites, I end up falling asleep. Lol

The new sofas are beautiful. I love the color! Room makeovers are my favorite thing. I’m 73, and growing up, my mother rearranged furniture in every room on a regular basis. It made the house feel so different and refreshed. She didn’t spend any money, just rearranged and used things she already had Maybe people are a little tired of all the thrifting, but not the things you do to make your house a home

I am so glad you said this. I have been watching several cozy cottage homes and all of the ones I have seen use neutral colors. I would like a cozy cottage feel but I have lots of color in my home. I just do not know how to make my rooms cozy.

Kristen, love what you’ve done in your living room. Your thrifted pillows look fabulous and match so beautifully with your new couches. Yes, you definitely need a larger coffee table; give some thought to a large round one - would be nice visually, and add a welcoming vibe to the room. A place to display coffee table books or a tray, candles, lanterns or other wonderful thrifted finds of yours. The first thing I thought when you suggested switching up the artwork over your fireplace was placing a large mirror there. If it’s large enough you could stand it on the mantle and not hang it. You have such beautiful artwork on your gallery wall. Love what you did to the fireplace. Amazing how a little DIY can transform something in any room and makes you feel so accomplished. The new insert is a perfect size for the opening. A basket on the floor with logs beside your fireplace would make your fireplace look authentic. On the other side you could place a large crock filled with pine cones that the girls have gathered for you and it would also hide where you ran out of tile. Even placing a small thrifted stool on one side of the fireplace with a potted plant or blanket on top would be cozy. All the hard work you put into this room really shows Kristen. Congratulations. Always look forward to your videos!!
I love your living room transformation!!!! The green sofas are gorgeous and really make all the other greens pop! Those stick on tiles completely transformed your fireplace! I love the changes but sorry all 3 pictures are not very attractive, they are just so old lady looking and you have a young family. I am 72 but even I would not go for any of the pictures 😢

I love the green couches. Adding the rug from the dining room was a smart choice. Instead of buying more tile, you could put trim at the bottom and paint it white. Save a few bucks. The room looks gorgeous.
I love the couches too -- they don't look nearly as bright as they do on the website.

Go with matching rugs! The sofas are gorgeous, and the changes you made to the fireplace are beautiful! The deep green tile is perfect, and the insert really makes a difference! I love how you kept the momennts with Josh in the video because in an age where people only put their "perfect life" in videos and social media, you're keeping it real! The Spurgeon reading was an added bonus! As for your watch hours, everyone I'm subscribed to seems to have the same issue, but it's because it's summer, so please don't worry! Someone made a comment on this video that people are tired of thrifting videos, and they are wrong! Kristen! I just love your channel! I literally teared up when I saw your husband and you coming together during a stressful moment. We do a lot of premarital counseling and that is just such good stuff. Also, this is the OCD in me, but I think if you wrapped the cord that goes to your fireplace in white, it will not stick out like a sore thumb like it does!
And I am dying for a green velvet sofa. That really is a classic color and style! I love that in your room, and it also makes your old rug work really well too.

I'm 73, live in Atlanta, and love your channel so much. Love the couches. Green has always been my favorite color. Great job on the fireplace too. You chose the painting that I liked the best. I started thrifting two years ago and thoroughly enjoy seeing your thrift hauls. I too have found so many wonderful pieces for my home.
Your room make over is beautiful! Maybe Josh could amount the tv on a bracket that can be moved and tilted there on that same wall where it is so that it doesn’t fall from the table. 👍🏻

I love that you do not stage areas before you film and that we see “real life.” For example, the stuff under the couch when you moved it. We all have the random objects that end up under the couch. It lets us know that you live just like we do. Seeing how God is the center of your home and life is truly a blessing.

I really like option 2 for the summer. I think the covered bridge would be nice for fall. Scale depends on what you decorate your mantle with. The mantle is my favorite to decorate.😁 Looks lovely! Have a blessed week.🌸

I loved your living room before, but it’s amazing what a little color can do to uplift the space.
I think the artwork you chose was a perfect choice. I also love that it brings out the green from the fireplace. I would get green or blue candles to match even further. If you wrap a little tinfoil around the bottom of the candle and smoosh it into the candlestick holder, it will help keep it straight. The trick is in hiding the foil. But, it’s better than digging out melted wax from the candlestick.

Seascape all the way. Color and size are perfect. The green tiles look so good, as does the new insert. The new couches are so rich, and really add to the room. I like the rug too! It all looks amazing! I love the green! I would also suggest adding a trim piece or painting the bottom the same color green as the tile and possibly put a plant, basket or nick-knack in front of the corners to help camouflage it. 💚

I love what you’ve done in your living room. The couches are so stylish and the little stove is perfect!! I like the beach scene best! If you have a problem keeping candles straight in holders, melt a little wax into the holder and then add the candle cut will keep it upright.

Kristen as usual you created a wonderful video! I love the green sofa!! The change in the fireplace looks wonderful. Are you able to hang your tv over the fireplace? You have a lot of straight line items with pictures and the sofas. Have you thought about a big round coffee table or ottoman? The green throughout the living room sure makes it all look so cozy! Give yourself and Josh grace for showing us a touching moment when we all need a time out now and then. Sometimes it's easier to get mad but taking a time out to refresh and regroup is so effective.
