    Dude great video. I ride the 9.13 with some Indy forged hollows. I also put some 1/4" risers and ride Bronson bearings. I flow between the powell paralta G Slides (85a) and also some slime ball 54mm (99a) and I think they ride pretty good. I still have stock bushings, and I ride my trucks loose for sharp turns. Love this video man.

    I see you got the Steve caballero bones wheels! Do you like them pretty good? Have you ever rode Powell wheels? I’m just looking for opinions because I’m stuck between getting the cab bones wheels or some Powell park rippers

    • @skating4satori672
      @skating4satori672  Před 3 lety +1

      He has ridden the SPF 58mm Sidecut P5 wheels for many years now. He loves those wheels. The Park Rippers look like they are the same or similar shape and footprint as the P5 wheels with the same formula.
      My recommendation would be to pick a set up that's available for purchase. It's been very difficult to find anything from Skate1 over the last 9 months. Product seems to sell out as quickly as it's stocked.

      The old skate decks really do! Like Richie Rich's parents, we have kept everything in the skate journey. When he finishes with a board, we look back and write on the bottom side the skateparks he's ridden, tricks learned, who he rode with or we met, and any other milestone experienced or achieved. In a way, it's kind of like a parental love letter to our son. He can someday look back on the boards and the experiences we had as a family and journey; including his first skateboard.

      @skating4satori672  Před 3 lety +2

      Funny you should ask that. Just posted a new video about the different truck options for the smaller 8.45" AA Deck. The trucks featured in this video were 149s.

    Nice setup, like the board, indy's and all the Bones accessories. I have one question. Why don't you countersink the bolts in your boards? Is it a preference thing? Don't know anyone that typically rides like that so I'm curious.

    • @skating4satori672
      @skating4satori672  Před 3 lety +4

      We tried doing that in the past. However, since the bolts are already angled for counter-sinking and he doesn't ride street, the boards have a tendency to last longer. Most boards, he will ride for about 3-6 months. What ended up happening was the bolts sunk into the wood and the hole got bigger and bigger making it hard to keep the bolts tight. Starting out this way, the bolts settle in after about a week and no issues down the line.

    • @kennethkirwan2298
      @kennethkirwan2298 Před 3 lety +1

      @@skating4satori672 makes sense he doesn't ride street and not countersinking cause it does settle over time and all. Thanks for the reply!

    I didn't know how to set this board up.. sizes and all so I just went with similar things cept black indys, hollow as well.. i got 55 mm spitfire lock ins does anyone know if those should need a set of risers or not?

    • @skating4satori672
      @skating4satori672  Před 4 lety

      At 55m, depends on how tight you ride your trucks and what you ride. Probably don't need for street. If you ride bowls and loose trucks, then you might want to consider.
      Hardware will eventually sink in and settle after about an hour of riding. On each maiden journey for my son's flight deck, we take a break after 30 minutes to inspect and make sure things are ok and also if they need tightening.

    can i skate the 9.13 inch deck with 144mm trucks?

    • @skating4satori672
      @skating4satori672  Před 3 lety +1

      144s would work on the smaller AA Flight Deck. My son rides one with 144s and another with 149s for bigger bowls.
      I wouldn't recommend 144s for the 9.13" larger board. I currently have Ace 66s on mine, but have also used Ace 55s and Indy 159s. Otherwise, it's going to give it the overboard effect. Good Luck!

I placed the order for a complete in early March as I sensed that there might be a disruption in the supply-chain for non-essential businesses...Luckily, I was able to get it before the SIP happened and everything went sideways...
