I have no idea why I just spent 45min watching a dude I don't know polish a pair of boots, but this was *fascinating* to watch! I honestly would have sworn that couldn't be done without a major rebuild on those boots!

@@omnione12 Honestly, I tend to find myself enjoying pretty much any display of a highly skilled activity. Watching someone really good at something display their practiced skill is really cool. Cooking, woodworking, sculpting, barbering, whatever. It's just awesome to watch, even if it's something I have more or less no interest in ever doing myself. :-)

One thing is for sure I prefer to see nice boots leather black or rich brown, and of course the mixing of the soap in the empty can... You could do it for half an hour our I'd be gone. I personnaly don't like the use of the knives over sewings. Sanding with different grade of sanding paper would be best. But over all I love you work...(Every sundays😁)👍👍👍👍👍

I just wanted to say last night I listened to one of your videos when attempting to yet again sleep for the night. For the first time in nearly a decade, I actually slept longer than 6 hours without waking up. I popped headphones in and 10 minutes later, out cold. I am doing the same again tonight and pray for the same results. Regardless, liked and subbed. I hope this is a start to being able to sleep again for more than an hour at a time. Thank you!!!

The scraping of the leather using the folding mini cleaver is an ASMR delight!
Yes except he only uses it like he suppose to on the left. He always does that to one side only it's so nerve wracking to watch. I don't know why he does that probably to keep his customers coming to him.

This took me back to my time in the Army when we still had black jungle boots. I would use a top coat of clear kiwi over lincoln wax and used a heat gun to get the polish to adhere better to the boots and make it easier to shine. Finished it off with a product called seal-a-shine.
Only thing I was good at in the military was shining my boots 😂
Those dark areas really makes the shoes cool. Gives the shoes the natural bronze effect.

Sir, people have thrown away shoes in better condition then these when you got them, but after you were done with your craft you could have sold them as a distressed leather boot at any store and came up. You are mastercraft, thank you for posting.

I don't what it is, but watching a persons boots/shoes being worked on is very relaxing!
I know this is an older video. I love to hear how you learned and got started. Who taught you? Things like that. Plus, just one or two of you talking and telling us your thought process during the cleaning and why you choose the cleaning items and different techniques. You even have a special way you work in the waxes and color enhancers. It is almost a dance like movement
This is about the only guy I've seen that takes pride in the work he does... Nowadays people just get a job for a paycheck, and nothing else. No respect, no patience and certainly the customer doesn't matter to anyone. But this guy here, its a real man and has pride in his work. Shoe shining is almost a lost and respectable job. Keep on grinding sir...
