I was just watching this again and did anyone else notice how that grilled cheese brought out Hawaiian Brodi? Check out beginning at 6:00. Bites into that grilled cheese and . . . "Bra!" "So come on down to Smitty's Smashburger, ya?" I gotta try that grilled cheese next time I'm on the island. And the pickle sounds perfect!!

Man there used to be a cherry burger in hanapepe in the 70s. I only ever saw that burger in NYC and the dude was from Kauai and he was robbing Manhattan. Maybe chef Smitty could incorporate that into his menu. It was 30 years ago but he said it was plums, mustard, ketchup, and brown sugar glaze.
