Justin Fields has looked good in his last two games. I’m rooting for him to be the future quarterback for the Bears moving forward.

Compare Fields situation to that of Purdy. Coaching is like parenting and bad coaching can and will mess most players up, especially QBs. For instance, it took Geno Smith 8 YEARS! To undo the damage done to him with NYJ. I would love to see all the “fringe” QBs with competent coaching like Andy Reid and Kyle Shanahan. Chicago actually put in some presnap movement and let Fields run last night and that made the whole offense more fluid. Running game had lanes and Fields was able to operate in short down situations keeping the playbook open to run or pass, which helps the passing game because the defense doesn’t know what’s coming.

Stick with Fields, he had back to back good games with 4TD’s I know he had that interception against Denver but up until that point he had been playing very well that game, and showed it again with another 4TD performance, I still think that they can bounce back, they have a very winnable schedule over the next 4 games so we’ll have to wait and see if this win motivates them!

Its not one game, it's two games out of a 5 game sample with THIS team. Last yr they were tanking so they could get a high draft pick, and it worked, they got DJ Moore and a bunch of picks. You can't count the losses from last year, this is a new season.
Never heard of a team tanking, getting the 1st overall pick, then trading away that 1st overall pick.
If the Chiefs defense gave up 30 points every game, the would have been 4-12 last year…

I think Justin Fields is good enough to stick with while they continue to build a quality roster. Put some more dudes around him and especially on the defense and they’ll win some games.

I’m tired of people acting like coaching doesn’t matter. Coaching is like parenting. Get stuck with bad parents and yes you can still make it, but that road will be much much tougher. Last night, Chicago opened that offense up. There was presnap movement and the threat of JF running was on display early. JF run threat + motion causes defenders to pause for a fraction of a second and that’s all that’s needed to open the doors of success. JF has a lot of ability. But that team is bad from top down. They’ve had the WORST defensive in the NFL for 2 seasons.
Bears were a loaded playoff team that traded multiple 1st RD picks to move up and draft Fields. Fields was so terrible and not ready to play that his team was forced to gut, let walk and trade away Pro Bowl players to show they’re committed to Fields and the future. The current state of the Bears is because of Fields! The defense isn’t good but Bears have a loaded offense! No excuse for Fields not to perform. Moore and Kmet are both elite Top 10 players at their positions. Mooney is a solid #2. Herbert is an explosive, versatile big time RB! Darnell Wrifht is already a premier offensive tackle. If you want to cry about the defense okay. But Fields has legit weapons on offense and no excuse to at least do his part and give the Bears a chance with the offense. If they lost because they’re giving up 30 ppg but Fields is showing he can be a real QB and make throws then I’ll respect that.

@@slimvickins5059Flawed assessment, people always seem to forget the coaching staff was fired and the building was gutted after his first year. That had nothing to do with fields. He was already drafted into an awful situation. Then the new guys come in and don’t wanna pay Mack or Roquan smith so they get rid of them to free up cap space. Last year was literally a tank season fields had no help anywhere. Kmet, Mooney, and the rest of the receivers had one of the highest drop percentages in the NFL. Not to mention Justin was behind one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL and then had the worst defense in the NFL. Please tell me how all these factors are the fault of a 3rd year QB…

Fields is setting passing records and rushing records because the bears haven’t developed a Qb with a pulse in decades. Jay cutler is the best QB the bears have seen in years and he was a poor man’s Kirk Cousins. So I don’t know why everybody likes to make it seem that Fields is the reason they have no had success. The bears organization doesn’t know how to win.

Then once the privileged, golden boy Fields was drafted, the media did a complete 180 and changed their tune around the Bears. It went from Trubisky being so terrible and holding back a talented Bears team, to poor Fields having to be stuck in such an “unfair” situation. It’s truly pathetic and fake and you weak sheep just gobble it up. Fields was (and is) so terrible that the media had to create the narrative that Fields was being burdened on the Bears. Sometimes it takes time for players to develop. It took Josh Allen and Jalen Hurts a few seasons before they broke through, everyone was convinced that Tua was a bust a couple seasons ago, and it took Geno Smith several years before his career got revitalized in Seattle. Let's not crown Fields, but let's be patient as well. It's up to him and his staff to build on this and deliver.
You just nailed it. Everyone is so impatient and I’ll be honest, I have been too. The bears have been bad for awhile so let’s just wait it out a little while longer.

As a lifelong Bears fan, I'm not sold on them either...
Stephen A. is correct in saying it is just one game for the Bears... but it's been back to back good to excellent games for Fields & the Bears offense. Now it's time for the Bears to continue to build on this improvement. The biggest issues are still on the defensive side of the ball. They have been shredded by injuries & poor play. The coaching staff has their work cut out for them.

It was kinda two games tho Steve. There’s two guys tied for the most TD passes in the NFL. Until Sunday and the other games occur, Justin Fields is one of those guys. You have to tip your hat to him. He had 99 yards against the Chiefs. Since then he has 8 TDs to one pick. That’s growth. Idc who the opponent is. Those are NFL players.

This wasn’t even about Justin Fields or DJ Moore. It was about the return of Teven Jenkins and his ability to create space for Fields to target Moore for more touchdowns. Period. Jenkins was on IR the last 4 games and now with his return he is working in tandem with Darnell Wright to move men out of Justin Fields way.
