i stopped playing rust around a year ago cuz of cheaters. had about 3k hours and every time i come back to these videos it brings me happiness.

No matter how bad I'll be at videogames or how salty I can get sometimes I'll never resort to cheating. Like seriously these people should just uninstall and never touch video games again. I can see exactly why cheaters piss you off so much Camomo. video games are a part of our life and mean a lot to us. and for these people to simply ruin that experience for us and everyone else. give em what they deserve as always Camomo!

Question for you Camomo, since i'm not in your particular position, I always wondered if it would be better to leave them unbanned and active but with those commands you use to prevent damage etc permanently for the life of that particular server?
Considering the average IQ of the cheaters is below beaver, would they even notice it? They would continue trying to use the cheating account, never achieve anything and potentially may not come back with any new account either and just assume their cheats are playing up.
I always thought the action of banning a cheater would just trigger an instant reaction to buy another account and come back. Most cheaters are repeat offenders after all. I don't know how much thought goes into cheating, because these days it's rampant and rare to play ANY game and not come across a cheater/abuser within the first 24 hours...wondering if maybe there are other ways to battle this cancer on our beloved games.

What are you referring to being official servers? Facepunch? Or are you referring to stuff like Rustoria/Rustafied? Because even on Rustoria, people get banned constantly.
Me and my group disbanded a server due to a esp pandemic that plagued the server. As a result of sheer admin ignorance the server pop went from 200 players to 0, and now its completely dead. #needmorecamomo’s
How does that happen, though? How can people who mod servers be that braindead? Ignoring reports left and right and still do nothing for so long that the pop just dies?
Just let people apply for mod positions and pick the ones that seem decent? I have no idea how servers pick their staff, but whatever that server did was clearly not the right way.
@@mitchellhook4673 i dunno but the server literally had ‘betteranticheat - active admins’ in the title. Yet we were constantly being online raided by people who just knew exactly where we were peaking and where we were within our base.

It’s just unfortunate that the command inputs to turn these things off and on can be so easily found on the internet. Cheaters/ unapproved modders are a major reason people miss out on a lot of great games

@@Camomo_10 tbh only time i ever cheated was on a Minecraft server where the admins didn't care about cheaters at all and it was only cheaters, made my own cheats to where i could swing my fist and kill everyone in spawn. they finally fixed there server and gave me a VIP rank for showing how arrigont they where with cheaters and was only banned for a day since i gave them the code for the cheats, which worked better then there own admin tools.

I know that this is a bit late. I'm an admin on another game for a server network and I can tell you that 90% of the reports we get is children accusing everybody of hacking because "He killed me before I could see him" or "he shot me through the wall"

I used to have a small server up and found it fun to just spectate people and see what they do, so much hilarious stuff happens and if I notice someone is new I help them out (like the one guy that built a 10x10 that was just twig lol)
I’d love to do this! I’m extremely patient and I love to help people! I also love tormenting people in creative ways. I’d have a field day with cheaters but I’d help new players and just watch people play.
