Accept is a Traditional Metal band from Germany that originated in the late 1970s, to which then they hit it big in America with their 1983 album "Balls to the Wall." The previous album is actually considered the better album, but as I said, BttW was the one that got them the recognition. The original singer, Udo Dirkschneider, left the band in the late 80s to do solo stuff under the name U.D.O., but he returned to the band in the 90s to put out several more albums until the band disbanded in the late 90s. However by 2007/8 the band reformed with the new singer Marc (as you saw here) who does a great job in of himself, and can and does mimic Udo enough that he can sing the older material just as well, and in some cases, better than Udo did. Under Marc's tenure, Accept has released 5 albums since 2008. All of which have been bangers. Surprised that Teutonic Terror didn't grab you, as it was the song that got me to say, "OK, this band is back and I'm ready to jump into the Teutonic Ring with them." I recently bought their back catalog from the 80s and 90s, and while some of them are hit and miss, they're a great Traditional Metal band that's still rocking out.

Def dig it. Besides Dio who brought the dragons & dreamscapes, these guys practically invented power metal. Wolf & Peter (guitar & bass) have been at it since the late 70s, hardly changing styles. Think this was 2010, something of a comeback upon adding singer Mark, but they had to be already in their 50s in this vid, & they've done bout 3 good albums since, Wolf just never runs out of riffs, and plays great, raw, but right on the edge of neoclassical. You did well not to judge: if you've heard them before, it was probably Balls to the Wall. Try Fast as a Shark czcams.com/video/ZvTQfZqHQ3Q/video.html (veerrry early ('81?) example of double bass drumming), or anything from Metal Heart. Cheers youngins! Here's a deep cut from '85, Wrong is Right czcams.com/video/mUZD52ENnXQ/video.html
Almost forgot to include: they've still got it, stripped down to the simplicity of Rock n roll, the way John Lennon wanted it (ok, I made that part up.) Live in 2011, No Shelter czcams.com/video/9WWBrOWFq3I/video.html
