In 1994 I was going through some REALLY tough times, a co-worker loaned me the New Testament read by Alexander Scourby on cassette tape, he said that he thought it might help. I later purchased the entire Bible read by the same. It changed my life. I've since listened to several versions but to me, none compare to Alexander Scourby. Thanks so much for sharing. NEW: Alexander Scourby reads the Apocrypha. Some have been critical of its publishing and those who are, can continue to hear the 66 books from Genesis to Revelation read by Alexander Scourby.
Historical Apocrypha facts. The word Apocrypha simply means "Hidden. The Apocrypha is a selection of books which were published in the original 1611 King James Bible at the end of the Old Testament and positioned between the Old and New Testament. It also contained maps and genealogies. The apocrypha was a part of the King James Bible for 274 years until being removed in the year 1885.
It's not certain why the apocrypha was taken out of the king James Bible in 1885. Some conjecture, and it was taken out by the printers, who wanted to save some money on the publishing of the King James Bible.
The truth is the original 1611 King James Version contained the Deuterocanonical books. Just as these books the Protestants call the "Apocrypha" Books were in Martin Luther's Translation and all of the Earlier Protestant English Translations of the Bible which Predated the 1611 KJV. This should not come as a surprise when one considers that right inside the front cover the KJV says That it was:

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in TRUTH. John 4:24
When he, the Spirit of TRUTH, is come, he will guide you into all TRUTH. John 16:13

Just as these books the Protestants call the "Apocrypha" Books were in Martin Luther's Translation and all of the Earlier Protestant English Translations of the Bible which Predated the 1611 KJV. This should not come as a surprise when one considers that right inside the front cover the KJV says That it was:

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in TRUTH. John 4:24

I'm 68 years old I was nborn again 1982 by God's loving grace he opened my eyes called my spirit to come to his son to be saved and forgiven .I never doubted there was a God always new Jesus died on a cross movie king of kings I seen as a kid showed Jesus christ on the cross of course he had blonde hair blue eyes but it never meant anything to me till one day so many years later he opened the eyes of my dead spirit born dead because of Adam's Sim and wen he did this rotten sin filled filthy man knew who Jesus was and convicted my heart and I knew I would persh and need Jesus christ to accept me take my sins and be my lord and Savior he didn't need me I needed him you dnt give your heart to the lord who hung on a cross for us we pray he will take us .praise God for choosing us in christ before he created tthhe world saves and keeps forever thank u Jesus christ my LORD AND SAVIOUR FOREVER

A mention about Paul and his prison Epistles of Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians and Philemon, that were some of the most liberating concepts imaginable. Ephesians is famous for its spiritual warfare passage, but what exactly did Paul picture as the greatest of all battles? Philippians is a letter of instruction, providing models to follow. In it we will find Paul, Jesus, Timothy and Epaphroditus offered as those whom we should seek to copy. Colossians is an enigma one needs to play detective trying to recover the clues of what Paul was likely confronting. Finally, Philemon is gigantic in its implications contrary to its miniature word length. Time spent with these letters will be richly rewarded and equip us for life in multiple dimensions; of spiritual, personal and corporate relationships confronted daily. Specifically, these four letters from captivity will release any of us from unconscious imprisoning ideas. Here is a documentary video called in the Footsteps of Paul, shot on location in ROME, with a visit to The Mamertine Prison, which is now a museum. Both Paul and Peter were executed by NERO in that prison around 65 AD. Peter wrote 2 Timothy and Philippians from that prison. I am 61 years old. My grandmother passed away many years ago. She could not read or write. But she was a Praying Godly lady. She had this same recording of Alexander Scourby reading the entire Bible but on LP records. In 1994 I was going through some REALLY tough times, a co-worker loaded me the New Testament read by Alexander Scourby on cassette tape, he said that he thought it might help. I later purchased the entire Bible reab by the same. It changed my life. I've since listened to several versions but to me,, none compare to Alexander Scourby. Thanks so much for sharing. This changes lives.

Historical Apocrypha FACTS: The word APOCRYPHA means "Hidden. The Apocrypha is a selection of books published in the original 1611 King James Bible for 274 years, and was placed at the end of the Old Testament with the New Testament following. Then in 1885, for reasons unknown, they were removed. So we are putting them back for those who want to read the missing Books of the APOCRYPHA. It's not certain why the APOCRYPHA was taken out of the 1611 King James Bible in 1885. Some conjecture, and it was taken out by the printers, who wanted to save money on publishing the King James Bible.

How many changes have you noticed in the kjv
It's truly supernatural what is happening
I believe it's because people were worshipping the book instead of the Author
So He allowed changes to happen
But it's honestly mind-blowing that it is happening at at great pace too alone of the names have changed its just strange
Have you ever thought about it or had the notion that is not what I remember

Frankly, we think the four most Important books in the King, James Bible are the four gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. These represent the new testament Covenant, which God sent his son Jesus Christ to establish between God the Father and his people. To do that Jesus would have to submit himself to be the sacrificial lamb of God on a Cross on a lonely hill at Golgotha outside of Jerusalem. We encourage all to Hear those book as often as you can so you HEAR the full Truth, Spirit and Love of Jesus’ teachings and keep that TRUTH deep within so HIS TRUTH can make you FREE.

Frankly, we think the four most Important books in the King, James Bible are the four gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. These represent the new testament Covenant, which God sent his son Jesus Christ to establish between God the Father and his people. To do that Jesus would have to submit himself to be the sacrificial lamb of God on a Cross on a lonely hill at Golgotha outside of Jerusalem. We encourage all to Hear those book as often as you can so you HEAR the full Truth, Spirit and Love of Jesus’ teachings and keep that TRUTH deep within so HIS TRUTH can make you FREE.

There is no business model in the world based on giving away goods and services. FREE programming is on TV, but ads appear to pay for that programing. Jesus said this in Luke 10-7 “And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his hire”. NEW: Alexander Scourby reads the Apocrypha. Some have been critical of its publishing and those who are, can continue to hear the 66 books from Genesis to Revelation read by Alexander Scourby.
Historical Apocrypha facts. The word Apocrypha simply means "Hidden. The Apocrypha is a selection of books which were published in the original 1611 King James Bible at the end of the Old Testament and positioned between the Old and New Testament. It also contained maps and genealogies. The apocrypha was a part of the King James Bible for 274 years until being removed in the year 1885.
It's not certain why the apocrypha was taken out of the king James Bible in 1885. Some conjecture, and it was taken out by the printers, who wanted to save some money on the publishing of the King James Bible.
The truth is the original 1611 King James Version contained the Deuterocanonical books. Just as these books the Protestants call the "Apocrypha" Books were in Martin Luther's Translation and all of the Earlier Protestant English Translations of the Bible which Predated the 1611 KJV. This should not come as a surprise when one considers that right inside the front cover the KJV says That it was:
“Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is TRUTH: John 17:17.

1. THE SON OF GOD said Christians are "the Children of the Bride Chamber" - those in attendance at the wedding. See Matthew 9:14,15.
2. AN ANGEL OF GOD said the city of New Jerusalem is "the Bride of Christ" - See Revelation 21:2,9,10.
So, then, it is a gross misnomer for anyone to say that the Church is the Bride of Christ when Scripture contradicts that claim.
Always go with the Word, JCB - not with popular misnomers that cannot be substantiated with BCV (Book, Chapter and Verse) from Scripture.

NEW: Alexander Scourby reads the Apocrypha. Some have been critical of its publishing and those who are, can continue to hear the 66 books from Genesis to Revelation read by Alexander Scourby.
Historical Apocrypha facts. The word Apocrypha simply means "Hidden. The Apocrypha is a selection of books which were published in the original 1611 King James Bible at the end of the Old Testament and positioned between the Old and New Testament. It also contained maps and genealogies. The apocrypha was a part of the King James Bible for 274 years until being removed in the year 1885.
It's not certain why the apocrypha was taken out of the king James Bible in 1885. Some conjecture, and it was taken out by the printers, who wanted to save some money on the publishing of the King James Bible.
The truth is the original 1611 King James Version contained the Deuterocanonical books. Just as these books the Protestants call the "Apocrypha" Books were in Martin Luther's Translation and all of the Earlier Protestant English Translations of the Bible which Predated the 1611 KJV. This should not come as a surprise when one considers that right inside the front cover the KJV says That it was:
“Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is TRUTH: John 17:17.

Thank you for your comments about adverts and we can understand where you’re coming from. Let me say the following: First, CZcams Selects the ads for the videos, normally they are synergistic with the content and they can be skipped after 5 seconds.
Second, there is no business model in the world established on giving away goods and services. FREE programing is on TV, but ads appear every so often to pay for that programing. If there are no ads, then a subscription fee is involved. We all pay monthly subscriptions, to NETFLIX, Amazon Prime, HBO, etc for content. It takes time and money creating Channel content as well as maintaining the Channel, it’s not FREE. We wish we could play the Bible Recordings FREE on CZcams, however, the reality of life is that it takes money to do anything

@@ScourbyYouBible So my mistake and I’m under the impression the word of God is free gift of grace through Christ our Lord. I as well understand where your coming from. You need to make profit therefore in quoting a bible verse it’s justified. I click on audio bible and do listen to initial ad. ,then for multiple of years have been able to hear uninterrupted books of scripture. Although now it’s the business model. Some people put this on and listen, unwind as they rest . Now you wish for me to click off ads every so allotted minutes. Let’s hope Jesus doesn’t go corporate and expect a cover charge to his kingdom and a maintenance fee to stay. As you say nothing is free. That is what this world system expects.

NEW: Alexander Scourby reads the Apocrypha. Some have been critical of its publishing and those who are, can continue to hear the 66 books from Genesis to Revelation read by Alexander Scourby.
Historical Apocrypha facts. The word Apocrypha simply means "Hidden. The Apocrypha is a selection of books which were published in the original 1611 King James Bible at the end of the Old Testament and positioned between the Old and New Testament. It also contained maps and genealogies. The apocrypha was a part of the King James Bible for 274 years until being removed in the year 1885.
It's not certain why the apocrypha was taken out of the king James Bible in 1885. Some conjecture, and it was taken out by the printers, who wanted to save some money on the publishing of the King James Bible.
The truth is the original 1611 King James Version contained the Deuterocanonical books. Just as these books the Protestants call the "Apocrypha" Books were in Martin Luther's Translation and all of the Earlier Protestant English Translations of the Bible which Predated the 1611 KJV. This should not come as a surprise when one considers that right inside the front cover the KJV says That it was:
“Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is TRUTH: John 17:17.
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in TRUTH. John 4:24
When he, the Spirit of TRUTH, is come, he will guide you into all TRUTH. John 16:13

I really miss the Live Streams.
You see, I don't mind ads and all (you have to make money) except that I love to have the Scripture play all night (hence the Livestream).
I grew accustomed to listen to an ad, and then hours later awaken to have the Scripture still blessing me.
Now, for example, I listen to Matthew and am constantly awakened by ads. Wake up, turn off ads, attempt to sleep. Rinse and repeat. Then awaken to quiet, open the phone, turn the app on, turn off ad, doze off, awaken and turn off ad, ad nauseam.
Really miss the Livestreams.
Note: The other night one of your ads was a sermon by David Jeremiah? That was amazing. Didn't mins waking to that! ❤

Geoff, thank you for your comment and blessings as you continue to HEAR THY WORD…and SHARE IT WITH OTHERS. It's just like any other content you see on TV, HBO, or the movies. Someone had to pay for it and there has to be a ROI, "return on investment", or at least that's the idea. If you would like to get rid of the ads there is an option to get a subscription, but most like free and will put up with the adverts. It takes a lot of time and money to keep the scourby Bible up on CZcams since we have to produce content. Right now we are working on a CZcams Podcast of the Scourby Bible Recordings.

Why so many ads? I can't even count how many ads in a row I had from Biden's new stimulus. I've almost memorized the first 5 seconds of that particular ad.

Thank you for your comments about adverts and we can understand where you’re coming from. Let me say the following: First, CZcams Selects the ads for the videos, normally they are synergistic with the content and they can be skipped after 5 seconds.

I don't pay for cable, I just use CZcams if I want to watch something, or listen to radio. I love the blessing of this Scourby channel, especially overnight and when I'm doing housework.”
There is no business model in the world based on giving away goods and services. FREE programming is on TV, but ads appear to pay for that programing. If there are no ads, then a subscription fee is involved. We all pay monthly subscriptions, to NETFLIX, Amazon Prime, HBO, etc for content. It takes time and money creating Channel content as well as maintaining the Channel, it’s not FREE. We wish we could play the Bible Recordings FREE on CZcams, however, the reality of life is that it takes money to do anything
