that's what i was thinking, the varina player focused so much on tiny bones that he let the other 2 players do they're thing without any interruptions. i don't understand his thought process.
I wish I couldve seen Varina pop off and hope we get to see her again. Do you think yall will ever do deck techs and breakdown on some of your decks or future commanders you'll build ? Also be cool to see and make it interesting if you and each of your friends pick two commanders each to the table and roll randomly to play one of the decks kinda like a russian roulette style. My play group does this just to have fun and make it to where the atmosphere is clean and no one gets salty. I know yall always have fun it seems, but yeah grab 8 decks number them 1-8 and see whqt what yo I get to play. Great game too and thanks for the quality gameplay.

This definitely feels like Ajdin had one of those "asleep at the wheel"/"tunnel vision" moments when he knocked you two out. Oloro sittin over there with Resevoir out, Vamp Tutor in hand, etc. Just like you said, that was CLEARLY bad news waiting to happen. But, sometimes you just get the target in your sights and you're gonna pull the trigger, regardless whether or not it's a good idea. Thus is the way of mono-red! P.S. Gavi video when!? It has been featured a trillion times, and I can just see the deck list on my own, but I want an actual "deck tech" type of thing. You can't hold out forever!
Yeah hard agree on that one. He was probably supposed to at least let the other blue player "me" hang on just barely for one more turn to try and answer the combo player. Gavi is a hard one as I have 2 versions that have the same end goal in game play but are on a 150 dollar budget and a non budget version as well. I gotta figure out how I wanna do that video. But I definitely will

I been thinking of building casual oloro extort deck so it’s neat to see him in action (tho more combo-y than I’m going for) Edit: ah you mentioned it at the end 👍
Was a sweet game purphoros always puts a crazy clock on the game that said always attack the person who tutored and is playing a combo in there deck lol I really enjoy my Golos deck that uses Citadel and Zurs Weirding with lifegain and symmetrical discard to keep my opponents off cards and I get to use Citadel it's pretty wild. -The Golos Guy 🙂
I wonder if sending everything at Foley and pumping all creatures twice with Purphoros would've been the better play... at the very least it might've put Foley in a situation where he'd be unable to pay life for his Citadel. Almost no one remembers that Purphoros has an activated ability that pumps creatures... I once made somone remember when I sent eight 1/1 tokens at them and pumped them by +2/+0... :P
It definitely would have been better. If somebody tutors twice and says go there's no universe where you don't get combo'd if you let him untap. Ajdin just decided to take second place for some reason. D:
His line was supper sus tbh. But I don't know that he had lethal for Foley so his best option was probably to let the other blue player untap hoping I had interaction. Thanks for watching!
@@MTGTheStack I counted: he didn't. He would've dropped Foley down to 7 life, though, which, with a little more damage from the other players, would drop him to such a dangerously low life total that he wouldn't be able to use the Citadel.
Yeah, I haven't done the math either. But even if he couldn't kill you right out, there is the old "look you probably die on my next turn but you *definitely* die on his" political line. Though you guys tend to be pretty light on politics it seems, which I appreciate. Good gameplay is way more fun to watch. :D
