I don't think Missy is actually gone. She clearly was provoking the Simms!Master to attack her at the end. Remember what she said: "I once built a gun out of leaves. Do you think I couldn't get through a door if I wanted to?" She had foreknowledge of their encounter, at least to some degree.
@@dirdib69 expanded media has shown that those were in fact the last moments of Missy's incarnation of the master. She does however mange to force herself into a new incarnation with a device called an elysian field which in turn changed her personality into a new form that was purely good. In this form they called themselves the Lumiat. However unfortunately (and ironically) this version was eventually shot by her previous self (missy) and forced to regenerate. Missy speculated that the Lumiat's next incarnation wouldn't share her good nature, implying the Lumiat may have regenerated into the Spy Master incarnation from 13's stories and that the reason he is overly insane and evil is to somehow compensate for his previous incarnation being all good.
The Master/Missy got the perfect ending. Stabbed in the back by yourself trying to do the right thing. The Doctor may never know she stood with him, without witness or reward and died for it. In the end, she could rely on the Doctor more than herself. She is a complete psychopath but the Doctor believed in them despite all that. And he was right. Thanks for the amazing video!

This contains a lot clips i havent seen in others like it, some contained mote with the old masters and doctors, but the focus on the current ones put a i guess nice story together, im gonna miss gomez and capaldi and wish there had been some more time with them, they were the ones i properly knew bcs i started watching at that time and its sad to see them go, a lot more than any of the others 😭

This is the most perfect thing I've ever witnessed, I wish it wasn't over for Twelve and Missy, I miss them so much already, but this is an amazing, and well put together video that somewhat lessens the heart wrenching end in The Doctor Falls x Bravo

I hated that the Doctor never knew that the Master ultimately chose to stand with him as a true friend in battle. I would have given a kidney to see both Peter Capaldi and Michelle Gomez back to back in combat with the Cybermen together.
This is amazingly put together, it left me with tears in my eyes. Fantastic! I know they keep saying their friends though I never felt it until now.

Missy was such a good version of the Master, and I found her to be by far the most interesting and compelling. Her story arc makes me insane and I will not stop thinking about it for a long time. I'm a bit behind and only just got to 13's run and I miss her already. There's not a lot to say that people haven't already said, but the themes of growth and self sabotage and trying your best to do the right thing even though nobody will ever know or even believe you tried are just... so, so good. And heartbreaking and beautiful and tragic.

Well, here I am, crying.
This was beautiful. I'm sad that the Doctor never got to see that Missy was with him till the end, but some part of me hope that he figured that out. That he knew. And while it was tragic, and my heart broke, it was fitting. Virtue is only virtue in extremis, and that's what Missy showed there at the end. Without witness and without reward, she stood with the Doctor, and she would do so again. Wonderful wonderful video.

I hope too that the Doctor will find out about it somehow. She behaved with dignity. And I'm glad that at the last moment she was on the side of the Doctor. It is a pity just not with him.

I really hate to be the voice of sanity in all this, BUT... I'm sure I'm not the only person who realizes that where Missy left her relationship with 12 is utterly INCOMPATIBLE with 13. And with all the wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey goings on, just how delicious it would be to see that incompatibility revealed. Mark my words, we haven't seen the last of Master/Missy. No idea when, no idea how.....but its a-comin'. Mark my words.

It’s very possible Missy believed the Doctor abandoned her there as she regenerated. So the tragedy is they both believed they abandoned the other to die.
