we northerners are often labelled by the southerners as illiterates due to the fact that some of us don't speak good English having forgotten that language proficiency doesn't actually determine how well one does in life. I served in the Northern part of Nigeria and met a with a very large number of intelligent and diplomatic people. It is said that the Yoruba race is a set of diplomatic people but pls don't mess with the educated northerners.
