I've played the latest one which I think is 3, and I'm not excited for any Disney related games. They try to turn everything into an ad.
Valve is the one company I’m certain will never be acquired, just because Gabe is an outspoken critic of the gaming industry and strives to push boundaries, and he’s intelligent enough to realize it would be detrimental to that mission to sell out.

You missed one thing in this video, you mentioned Ubisoft can’t be acquired due to French laws forbidding non-European companies from doing so. Same thing in Japan, foreign companies cannot acquire Japanese companies, hence why Disney has yet to purchase Sony to get the rights to Spider-Man. This means Capcom is also out of the question, and of course Nintendo

Not watched the whole video yet but Nintendo land is been built in universal studios in Florida. So how does that fit in with the theory because that conflicts Disneys interests......would be a massive court case would it not? Not worth the trouble for both parties. Not going happen Nintendo will laugh them out of the park literally.
That's a non issue the same way Universal has the marvel rides there. The contract is already in position. But Disney buying Nintendo will never happen anyways.
@@ggary04 it is a issue the Marvel in Disney contract was done well before Disney acquired Marvel. Universal aren't allowed to add to any of there Marvel rides at all. This includes new footage in the ques and even extends to merchandise. Where as Disney could quite easily and happily put a block on Nintendo land as the contracts could easily be revoked from a conflict of intrest during the change over. Personally I think you'll see Disney acquire DC and HBO before Nintendo

Nintendo is like the indie game company, and while there always will be indie companies (at least, hopefully-), I doubt Nintendo will want to give up their independence, especially with how much they support indie creators themselves. Trust me, Disney ain't getting that gaming company across the ocean.

I was concerned when Microsoft bought Mojang all those years ago, I was worried they'd just stop updating Minecraft altogether or make it all go behind paywalls and honestly I am so glad I was wrong. I'm not even going to pretend that I understand the logistics of companies buying companies, I just want the games I love to keep coming.

i feel like disney would be more likely to go for sony, so not only would they get all their IP's, but they would get access to spider-man and the characters that sony are currently working on adding to with spider-verse 2, morbius, venom, things like that.
I appreciate the Capcom love - they have indeed produced some great IPs, and Megaman has always been one of my favourite franchises (Megaman 3 was the reason I begged my mum to get my a NES after playing it at a friend's house).

My biggest worry is that some certain crossovers and cross platforms wont be possible after a purchase. I’m less worried about Microsoft buying stuff coz they’ve shown they’re happy sharing their IPs, but if square Enix is bought by Sony for example, things like final fantasy and dragon quest may be PlayStation exclusives and kingdom hearts stuff may stop being made entirely

I have a theory suggestion. You should probably read the Bendy and the ink machine: dreams come to life. And make a theory on it. The story is very interesting and is theory material. The story has many plot twists but can be slow paced sometimes. But this might be a video idea.

I'm semi hurt that Disney interactive closed because they made a game called Spectrobes which was kinda "a pokemon spinoff" but the trainer fights along side the partner with weapons and it was honestly really cool. But now it'll most likely never return.

If Disney were to theoretically buy Nintendo, how would that affect the games Nintendo makes?
Disney would try and keep the Mario games the same but they would put their Disney spin on it and they would also in their mind “expand” the brand, like they would have some control over the movie, make a tv show, a Disney Mario attraction. Ect.

mat there's something you probably missed on the most "whos up for buy" list. Majority of the options there are Japan owned companies, and just like nintendo they are less likely to be bought out by American owned companies like amazon or comcast. They might get bought out by other Japanese companies but not by American owned.

To be fair a lot of the japanese owned companies are the better quality ones with huge fanbases and very popular games and stuff, so they're more likely to be jumped at with offers to buy!

What about Google buying major IP for Stadia then using the CZcams algorithm to make sure consumers see videos talking about that IP. If Google plan to keep branching out getting strong IP would be a great start.
Also, 100% agree about Capcom DMC and megaman are huge IPs alone.

The main two companies that I care about are mostly safe. As we've discussed here Nintendo isn't being bought out anytime soon. The other, Valve has steam which though I don't know how much they have, I can only assume that it's a healthy amount.

With the PC market essentially cornered, Valve at the moment is doing pretty well, I'd say. Not to mention, they recently released the deck, which seems to be an investment paying off.
