Ask the humble Grant what he does for a living and he'd probably reply "I make boats". But the truth is that he....saves lives!

I subscribed to several boating forums and was glad to see someone promoting the mostly aluminum boating lifestyle of the PNW. I have owned 6 boats in my lifetime and in the design/requirement process for our final boat.
There are hundreds of innovative boat MFG located on the U.S, and Canada West Coast that run other brands of power that would interest your audience (including diesel I/O and O/B).
Am I misunderstanding the purpose of your channel as being a paid advertisement for Mercury Marine? What happens when you run out of relevant Mercury powered boats?
I am not sure what your goals and mission are for your channel as it was not listed in your channel description. (what's your purpose and message you are trying to communicate)
Equipment that supports the operation and maintenance of the vessel can also be interesting topics as well as rigging and navigating.

Love Wooldridge Boats. Remember you showed this a few videos ago. Great design, lots of thought and detail. 😢Didn't take me along (to fish) for a test drive

I'm really surprised that they chose a single for an "emergency" vessel. You'd think redundancy and safety would be top priorities. Especially in Alaska, where engine trouble could mean death!

    honestly, love the idea...
But if it was me and the budget was a little larger... i'd have pushed for a longer landing craft... so it could carry both the ATV and a SNOWBULANCE Deluxe ATV trailer. The problem being you'd have to increase the length by at least 10'.
With the trailer though, the atv could run, driver + 1-2 medic/emt's + stretcher + medical gear, + internal power for light, heat, medical, and coms.
running with a shielded power mount, once they are back at the boat they could plug in the trailer to keep the heater going, strap down the trailer and the patient strapped inside the trailer could be continuously monitored with out having to be moved per say... yes they get bounced around in the trailer and on the boat... but they are strapped down, limiting movement injuries.
but yeah, adding 10' to the boat would limit where it could go to a point... The problem is, as medical transport, with just the atv, its only good for shore recovery and there really isn't any stretcher space on the boat so only for walk on walk off patients.

This boat of your’s is killer! I’m thinking…that’s my new Alaska hunting rig. I think most of the villages have strips or water access. Not exactly sure but they might even call in a floatplane or Cessna on tundra tires if there was something serious and the weather allowed for it. Either way those are some seriously tough people up there. Thanks for watching as always!

@@live2boat well you opened up with it being for medical relief. But the ATV isn't good on its own to carry injured people. and even if they foot carried a stretcher, there just isn't enough space on the boat it looks like to lay out a standard 7' stretcher.
Thats why i thought the Snowbulance with its ATV conversion would be perfect, but again, not enough room to carry the atv and snowbulance. (alternatly a snowmobile/snowcrawler + cat would work well in the winter if... oh... a 40' hovercraft could make the sprints up the rivers even during the thaw... )

Can't believe they DON'T have some sort of kicker motor on that vessel... For Emergencies!!!...🤔🤔

Good point! Maybe they already have on in Bethel where it’s going.

@@live2boat You'd think with a vessel built for a mission like THAT they would have had the transom built to just mount IT Right There... I started Good Seamaritan Rescue 100 percent Volunteers in 1958 with a 13 ft Boston Whaler at the mouth of the Housatonic River in Stratford Connecticut where it comes out to meet Long Island sound. Thank you for taking the time to respond 👍
