This league is cooking with the format and monthly aspect, I really like it. Can't wait to watch you crush it :)
So much variety on the Jake Lyons channel, keep it up man!
38:38 the only thing that had text on it said "Amaguana", which was right under Quito. great guess though
yay GCL, i was hoping we'd get videos! very fun seeing your reactions during skewed world ngl and no joke i actually called the Pakistan 😅 surprised myself there :D excited for part 2!
Really enjoy the new competition. In div 4, one of the nmpz maps was a challenging world where the median score for the division was 95. Phil did better than several people by sending Antarctica 5 times
Great to see you make videos of GCL as well! I got to Div 1 for season 1 somehow, but sadly dropping down to Div 2 for next season. There are so many very skilled players though, so I'm not surprised.
New competition, I'm excited and I'm sure it will be great just like your other series. This is what makes your channel so good!
50:45 I thought it was going to be North America too!
I like the structure of this league. Good luck Jake!
That Pakistan round what was killed Phineas on a 19 or something streak. I reckon people remember that, i did atleast.
This seems like a cool league! Looking forward to pt 2. Skewed is so hard! I was fully with you on those NA/Europe vibes 😅
Yay for new competition! ❤
Olá amigo! A tip for you. Normally, when a Brazilian city appears with many motorbikes stopped at traffic lights, you can be sure that they are from some city from state in Amazonas, Pará or states of Northeast. Here in the South of Brazil we don't use motorbikes, we mostly use cars. North of Brazil is similar to "Southeast Asia". The Climate, racially the people have the same phenotype and also because they like motorcycles
38:30 a lot of people thought like you and clicked quito without searching, too bad because amaguana the only thing written was a city name in the south of quito it was not very hard to find it
Min 7:10 Thalassa stands fot the sea, not for the ocean. From the greek word "Θάλασσα" :D
Ooh something new! I go Mexico there too.
Haven’t watched the vid yet but the premise seems great
On the German round at 35:40: I grew up like 15km away from there and despite that I did not get any vibes, so your region guess was completely valid :)
Ayyy, me too! Imagine if we know each other IRL, lol.
@@Morphior Hang on a sec! I googled your username, then found a related name (I didn't know) and googled that again and if it is correct, we both went to the same school (LMG) :D I think I have left a few years before you, though (habe 2013 Abi gemacht)
Feels like a very slow paced Distance Battle Royale.
respectfully, i think not being able to regionguess brazil in a round with no clues as well as other players is the definition of a skill issue
obviously i personally woulda got like 1500 points if i got lucky tho lol
I despise Skewed as well. Its a 100% reliant map on repeat farming. People say ACW & other maps are people just repeat farming, but Skewed is actually reliant on that, because you can see a group of bushes super close up that can be seen on 3 continents, and no other clues. Where as those other maps, yeah some people might remember some repeats, but long as you are semi-competent, you can guess close enough to not lose a lot of points to them, till you get a round they dont remember. But Skewed, is very reliant on getting a seed of locs you do remember.
Signed up for the February one.... mainly because I like competitive things, even if I dont think I'll advance far up the boards..... also it will be decent practice for NM/NMPZ modes for the Geoguessr seasons.
The map has 67k locations…I hate it because I suck at guessing when I can’t see the road, but to me this doesn’t seem like it’d be much more of an issue than with any other map. Even if you play it a ton, you’re unlikely to get many repeats 🤷♂️
