We decided to yet again collaborate with the Deep Sky Collective and image the famous Andromeda Galaxy. We spent... 1058 hours on this picture to create a very high-resolution image of the most popular galaxy in the sky.

Gah you beat me too it!! Haha - this was going to be my idea - great job
Best image of Andromeda galaxy ever made! 🎉
Hardly anyone talks about the OIII arc. What are those big observatories with million dollar telescopes been doing??
just because they see it they are under no obligation to release it publicly.
That was the cutest sneeze ever.
Hey!
Thanks for your super video and kind comment!
Looking forward to our next collab ;-)
Carl
Well done everyone! M31 is now officially cooked 😁 So much detail! 👏👏👏
WOW!!!
actually, the HA blobs within M31 are nebulas that are IN m31. if you were in m31 and imaged those nebulas, those would be as big as orion, if not even bigger. hard to quantify its size from a photo.
Yes the blobs, but not the HA gas all over the background
Nice
wow 41 days is 1000 hours wow that is along time you friends have had your telescope looking at this. wow!! thats patience👍👍👍👍👍
Apod is going to be yours ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
May I ask what SHOO is? HOO with S as Luminance?
How is SHOO mixed up?
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
This is replacing my iPhone wallpaper that currently had the fake Yannick photo!
Not bad. Still strange feel of some shenenigans, as low res picture atrifically stretched. Real spatial resolution way less than image resolution. Maybe it is atmosphere wobbling or some post processing 4x AI algorithm.
Go to the Astrobin page in the description to see it in high resolution
O God you have not created for foolish purposes
O God you have not created this for foolish purposes
Too much talk! But nice work.
