Can’t believe that is the medium group, there were a LOT who should have been in the slow group.
I was there on Saturday and the middle group overall was very slow, it was my first time at the track and I was the fastest in the group whilst being about 6 seconds a lap off racing pace.
Daniel Martin it becomes very dangerous when it’s like that, the organisers should have bumped people between groups to make it safe... they were quick enough to remove Chops rust band but left this group to fend for itself, this was an even more dangerous situation than a wheelie and I am not surprised there were so many red flags/crashes.
Stick to focused events👍🏽 they use transponders to make up the groups based on your lap times.
When the ol doy started the 900SS, I was thinking the he was holding the start on after it burst into life.... dry clutch life 👍
Ikr I was like "well that sounds rather rough innit"
Same thought shit his starter got stuck 😂
@Monsieurturmoil I put 25k miles on a 900ss, can't ever remember the clutch being a problem, maybe if it was a very hot day it got a bit grabby. Beyond crap on the the road how? genuinely interested to know.

As an old MT10 owner with a lot of track use, if you big guys , Wimbledon included with duck down over the tank you’ll get more on the acceleration post apex and on the straights! A full chest shoulders and abs straight up is a damn wind brake! Trust me, tuck down and you’ll reduce lap times! 👍👍

So many comments here supporting the overtakes but I have to say that cutting up the inside, off the racing line and in an inter group wouldn’t go down too well with most people on the day and in that position. It is often a rule not to do that and lesser experienced or less confident riders won’t be prepared to react. Fair enough that people are slower to my mind, you can’t get annoyed with that even if they are on a faster bike; if you’re faster then it gives you a chance to prove it and bask in the glory of having done someone through skill not power.

Great video lamb, your a very good rider. Great video editing also. I was amazed how much faster you were out of the corners compared to the supersports. I guess that’s the torque, light weight and the higher skill level. Also wanted to commend you on how you handled the whole wheelie thing, great you just take it in your stride, your clearly a resilient bloke. Looking forward to the CSS video!

We used to have a tight street race here Nelson, New Zealand with supermoto mixed with 600cc 4s , the 600's would only catch the motards at the end of the main straight really entertaining to watch

One day in the summer, bring the 690 to a Whilton Mill proper supermoto trackday, you can do all the wheelies you want there and be praised as a king! And you won't get bellendy sportbike wobblers

Brands Hatch is one of my favourite circuits and if you get the chance try and ride the full track as it's amazing.

@@LambChopRides Wheelies are so outlawed these days. Can't do it on the street without getting bummed by the law. Can't do them on a track without getting your wristband taken. Where can you do them? Bruntingthorpe only?

Yes correct they are identical, the old 701 like Wombles has no electronics and 5bhp less power
A mate of mine did a track day at Donington earlier this year and on the warm down lap a bike came past on the back wheel and went straight into the back of another rider, so it does happen.
Yes sure it does, shame I didnt have it on camera. There was nobody even around me or on the same straight. But rules are rules just a shame they dont tell you about them..

It’s like a “wack a mole” game trying to get a clean lap in past mobile chicanes. Not surprised there were so many red flags 😳, stick with the faster group for your safety and my anxiety.
This was the fast Intermediate group, problem is going in advanced on the 690 is you need slicks and tyre warmers as that's what everyone else is running. Also this really was a bit of fun, too serious in the advanced group
