I printed new caster cap for my M3 from PETG. I'd say it fits better than the original one did. So it doesn't really matter what material it's made out of :P
If it's not one thing going wrong, it is a bunch. All you can do is tackle the issues one by one. Oh, yes, I definitely go down the unnecessary troubleshooting rabbit hole. Take care and wish you some good luck 🤞
yup! exactly the issue.. hard to tell in photo.. but the rust on the cover plate forced the snap ring out of its grove.. too rusty to fix in place tho. would have to remove it anyways
You know I have obsessions with projects personally, even took up part of your time with them!
What’s up Dan? Good to see you out there and kicking. Looking forward to the stream tomorrow. In the meantime I’ll watch this one.
Awesome always enjoy watching

never a dull moment...more fun...always...
30 *gallons* of coolant?! wow! I know everything with bus repairs are like 10x car repairs but still that's so much lol
I'm suprised the casters dont have grease in there to reduce wear
Hey Dan
Imagine if they made them parts out thee same materials which were used on thee Galileo Spacecraft to Jupiter, it would last forever.
It looks like that snap ring isn't seated on one side of the water pump. Might have been the camera angle.
