If so could you share me the link to view the video beacuse as of now I have seen only part video where someone is analyzing the building only the frame and load analysis but no complete analysis.

    Please explain the concept of importing grid from dxf file. I have tried this successfully. However I have not been able to add the label and the circular bubble. Each time, Staad Pro does not import those elements (texts and circle). I have use Mtext or text, use Autocad Fonts but it just does not import texts from Autocad. Is there a way to include custom label to an irregular grid? or along an imported Grid from Autocad dxf files? The grid can be very helpful to prevent error especially when the projects have non-axial or eccentric columns.

      You can choose to offset the columns. However, the end results won't be too drastically different. You should however, try and always compare the results.

    Please explain concept behind height. Does it mean the top of floor to top of floor? For example if I have a floor to ceiling height of 2700mm with the slab thickness being 125mm., I should have a height of 2700 + 125 or 2825.

    • @CivilBlackBox
      @CivilBlackBox  Před 4 lety

      Height is center to center unless otherwise defined by you.

  • @whatra
    @whatra Před 4 lety +1

    Sir, Is the distance shown in the plan is from center to center of columns?

    • @CivilBlackBox
      @CivilBlackBox  Před 4 lety +1

      Yes you can assume it to be from center to center. Realistically however, a true model always consists of offsets during the beam to column connection. However, the results are barely affected and hence in most of the cases it's safe to assume a center to center connection.

    at the porch area there is an eccentric connection between beam and column, how to create this connection. if offset is provided, will staad be able to consider the moment in another direction? if no, please provide alternative for this problem.

    • @CivilBlackBox
      @CivilBlackBox  Před 4 lety

      Yes STAAD does consider moments in case of offset. Additional forces and moments shall be generated which will ultimately depict true eccentricity.

  • @SunilPatel-nk3pg
    @SunilPatel-nk3pg Před 4 lety

    During analysis beam put in center of column and detailing time get at corner of column then eccentricity gets changed , what is effect of this

    • @CivilBlackBox
      @CivilBlackBox  Před 4 lety +1

      Any eccentricity will result in additional bending and torsional stresses (depending upon the direction of course). You can mimic the actual offset by using the offset feature available in STAAD. This will yield precise results.
