I agree... I really like Kleber! He's a good shooter, a smart player, and a pretty darn good and versatile defender. Maxi also has a lot potential to improve, he's 27, but this is only his 3rd season in the NBA.

Kps defense has been lacking in these recent games something people took for granted because his offense hasn't clicked yet expected because of the injury but his defense has been the key in all of their wins
And Thj is just a certified bucket they need him back as soon as possible

This is facts mavs defense has been nearly nonexistent these past two games without kp and when thj is knocking down threes the mavs look unbeatable
Idk I thought Maxi and Seth were really making up for the missing defense and three point shooting this game. It’s true we were lacking that stuff for the last game against the Thunder tho.
1 more good reason why kp has not being great offensivly other than being out 1,5 years is the guy put a good amount of muscle since he last played so he has to get used to that aswell

I loved the substitution patterns by Carlisle tonight! Luka playing 9-10 minutes in the 4th instead of 5-6 is probably wise.
To be fair he got into foul trouble in the third so he didn't play like 5 minutes he would have otherwise.

Been needing to do that a while. It helped him get hot and find a rhythm. Much better than putting him in and asking him to recover the game with 5 minutes left.
Johnny Q Carlisle said his substitution was strategic so he could play longer in 4th and not get tired.

Luka. needs to work on his conditioning he is 20 so he has time I liked how the coach managed his minutes in this game he was fresh In the 4th, the okc game he played 40 minutes and looked exhausted and that’s why the shot wasn’t falling. When he reaches his peak he is going to unstoppable

If Luka's on fire it's probably a blow out so he'll be sitting. But he might if everyone else is cold.
He is certainly capable, but he focuses on being a facilitator to keep the rest of the team involved. I think the threat of him passing is what makes him so dangerous. The opponent never knows when he is going to attack the basket, execute a step back, or find an open man for a lob or 3 pointer. It puts a lot of pressure on the defense and forces them to play an honest game.
I think it is inevitable at some point that he will hit 50, but I prefer the team style of basketball the mavs are playing right now.
Its impossible for him to get 50 because the coach doesnt play him in the 4th quarter when they have a big lead.

I notice German players like Kleber and Nowitzki are sturdy and physically strong athletes. They are built for physicsl games like basketballl. Not very prone to injuries early in their prime. Just an observation though.

Where I do think that you are correct is when Americans have a stereotype of the Euro player.. there have been quite a few that came over in the past with a bunch of hype only to be proven unready (happens just as often with homegrown players). It's unfortunate because that is not the case any longer, Euro players are ballin' out. I would also say that it would be dishonest of the Euros to say that it hasn't taken a while for Euro BBall to get close to the NBA standard.
One thing that I can say in our defense is that my team, The Mavs, have been accepting and forward looking in regards to Euro players for a long time. The rest of the league laughed at us when we drafted Dirk. The talking heads on TV doubted us for drafting Luka. They have all been proven WRONG and I love it.
