I hate that they changed the Inlay style, I much prefer the inlay on the 21...
I wonder why crk doesn't offer wooden inlays like Thuya or Snakewood or Rosewood or any of the cool ones they used to do?
it's only Bog Oak and Macassar ebony now and they are both so dark almost Black they are not appealing to me..they do still have a light burl color i forget the name

Those kids of woods are hard to get and hard to machine from what I understand.
But the wood your thinking of is Box Elder

I am a CRK fan boy, I have over 20 in my collection. However, let me just say... CRK made such a big deal about getting rid of the hole on the 31. That hole alone, to some less Reeve educated, is about the only difference they see.
The PJ 31's still have the one hole on the lock side. All inlaid 31's STILL HAVE BOTH HOLES!!!!!!! So, only some 31's have just one hole removed. Yet despite of this, that was one big marketing feature. The 31 lock (while maybe "stronger and long lasting") is not for me. I also like how the clip on the 21 drops down when the lock engages making is less pokey in your hand. The 31 rests the clip on the frame ensuring it's always out to dig your hand.
I'm biased though... A few CRK fixed blades, about fifteen 21's and exactly ZERO 31's. Pass for this generation. I hope to be alive for the 41 release.

Hate the 31… sold all 3 that I owned and glad to have kept a hold of my collection of 21’s … the 21 is the beat knife on the market bar non

The 21 is great. The 31 has it's fans as well. I guess that is why there is 31 flavors of Ice Cream. Carry what you love.

@Archie Baldwin I guess I’ll rephrase the statement I originally made to clarify.
For me, the Sebenza 21 is the best all around pocket / folding knife that can pretty much do it all. Everybody will have their own knife that they love of course - but after 17 or so years of collecting… I’d have to say the Sebenza 21 both large and small are the only knives that never got sold off, or traded… after all these years I still have them and carry one daily.
I’ve never found myself in a situation in which I couldn’t accomplish the tasks at hand weather at home or in the field while hunting or camping.
I think they really are do - all type of knives within reason of course. They have a long track record of being a super solid company that stands behind their product… if ever you have an issue you can send it in and they’ll make it right for you. If you beat up a knife over years of use, you can send it in for a spa treatment for about $20 and within a month it’ll be back to you basically in brand new condition.
No other companies offer that kind of service that I have found. Ultimately which knife brand you find a liking too is a very personal choice - I’m glad you’ve found yours!

Got to 11:32 and stopped. Already 3 inaccuracies.
    T8 torx
Pivot bushing, not a pivot collar
Inkosi stop pin does not thread from both sides. Single screw.
