Have a great day 😃
guys be careful eating wagyu.
you will crave it constantly, and regular steak will never be the same.
Hi Tom420 👋thank you so much for watching 😄 you're absolutely right 😆
dry aged prime is better than wagyu.
@@klonaro no way
@@roncoburn7771 it is NOT for everyone. I love ribeye steak, and tried some gold-grade American Wagyu from Snake River Farms. It’s a cross-breed with less marbling than this stuff. It was just too rich for my taste - too much fat. Glad I tried it and I see why people like it, but give me prime, dry or wet aged, over this,

@Jason Young classic dad joke lol
As a Japanese Wagyu fanatic, I don't have to eat that cut of meat to be able to tell whether it's quality or not. The way the fat cap melts off into smaller little chunks as you cut into it with a room temperature knife, tells me everything about the quality of that cut. That's high grade Wagyu right there.
Just a thought, instead out salting the steak, try cooking it as is. Make yourself a stick of herb infused compound steak butter and cut a small square of that to melt a thin layer on top of your steak. The natural flavors of the beef will still come through as well as the enhanced flavoring from the compound steak butter. That's the only way I eat steak, I don't screw around with A1 or steak sauce. You should try it.
Hi MaPee1982 👋 thank you for the tip and thank you so much for watching 😄 will definitely try that next time 👍
Who cares its just food eat it however. You don't have to act like eating steak makes you a god.
Wow yeah that natural animal taste.
I think some people like to enjoy an $100+ steak in the best way possible, but you do you
You're not enjoying it properly...a5 wagyu is best enjoyed with ketchup!
@@SAINTxSZN Food *_IS_* just food. However, there are gourmand or food connoisseur who prefers, enjoys and appreciates quality. And no that doesn't make one a god. That just means they have a better taste palate than you.
You might want to hit up Walmart and find the cheapest round beef cut, and call it a filling meal, while others call that chewing rubber. But if you prefer chewing rubber for dinner, that's your business.
Did anyone get this randomly recommended? Very entertaining content thanks going to look for wagyu at Costco now 😁

Funny story : Went to B&B butcher with a girl I was dating, she had never had Kobe. I had the 4small pieces on the hot rock for $120 like a a month ago. Literally, spontaneous, spur of the moment, weren’t even dressed like super nice or anything, we just stopped in to have that and we were going to leave.
I order it & the waiter tells me, well, that’s not Kobe but if you want it I’ll bring it to which I say, I was just here like a month ago and I had it and it was delicious to which he says, yes it’s great but it’s not Kobe, it’s Wagyu, if you want Kobe I can bring you Kobe.
Puts me on the spot. I’m a real man so I say “bring it on then chump”.
He asks what cuts I say “bring her a filet I’ll take a ribeye”.
Freaking Chef comes out “ I guess to make sure we were good for it lol I don’t know” and says “ hi just wanted to come out and introduce myself and I wanted to meet the guests who’ve just ordered these fantastic cuts of beef”. 😳😳😳
Long story short.. Waiter brings me the check, hers was $430 mine was like $380 “ I think “. I still have a picture of the receipt 🧾.
$960 with the wine and appetizers not including tip. All good. Was a great experience but even better one when I make them at home. You can literally find really great cuts of WAGYU at a good HEB and if you make them properly, they are off the chain and taste way better than any of the top steakhouses.

What's up Luis 👋 thank you so much for watching bro 😀 😆
salt it as it rests, let the moisture exit, soak up the salt, and then re-enter the wagyu, it will carry the salt through the meat. I prefer to pepper it after it's cooked. Any salt is fine, some prefer kocher because the larger flakes supposedly soak up moisture better, I've used koscher and normal salt, if it's allowed to be re-absorbed then I think any salt is decent. Looks like you did a damn good job of cooking it, though I'd also recommend patting it dry with kitchen towel before cooking to get a good sear.
Thank you and thank you for the tips 😄
Lmao my dude be like "maybe one more piece" after the 12th bite 🤣
Hi Alan 👋 thank you so much for watching 😀😆
Man I don't know why this was recommended to me, but now I'm hungry, and I seriously love your channel and personality dude, keep it up!
Hi David 👋 thank you and thank you so much for watching bro 😀 I'm glad you enjoyed it and hope you get a chance to enjoy the 🥩
When I saw this at Costco, I started laughing. One of the CostCo guys saw me and asked me why I was laughing and thought it was because of the price. I told him $150 per pound for a "frozen" piece of meat!? But after this, I might just have to try it.
Hi Will 👋 thank you so much for watching bro 😄😆
I would argue that most Japanese Wagyu in the US is frozen at some point. But I did have the same initial thought before I bought it. It’s delicious.
@@trentonwahl6772 Yea, it is all frozen at some point. If frozen right it does not really matter.
How do you expect to get meat here from the other side of the world? :-)
@@robbetts That is a great thing to consider. However, one should know that beef and even fish are often aged a few days (or more) before restaurants and consumers get them. Even frozen I wonder if these are shipped via air freight.
My husband surprised with one yesterday. It melted in my mouth. I know this kinda gross, but my floss findings were steak free. 💜💜💜
Hi TamDiva S 👋 thank you so much for watching 😄 you're absolutely right about that..it's a nice feeling
I love how proud he is about saving money
Hi Cristian 👋 thank you so much for bro 😀 hope you weren't offended by the joke 😬

@@cristianiglesias9791 I'm glad to hear 😀
@@DavidSriracha I think you and @littledicky are on the same wave length. Check out his song, "$Ave Dat Money"
That looks absolutely delicious! I myself would've cooked the mushrooms with the rest of the Wagyu fat, but that's me! now, I'm hungry!
Hi Walter 👋 thank you so much for watching 😄 I should have..maybe next time
This guy has one of the best dialects I've ever heard.
Hi Kevin 👋 thank you so much for watching 😀 I have no idea what you're talking about bro 😆
Just bought one last weekend (also from costco) and planning to eat it this Christmas.. your video made me so excited
Hi Arlo Blank 👋thank you so much for watching 😄 hope you and your family enjoy the steak 🥩🤞 happy holidays 🎅🎄⛄
So humble! Need more videos with the family
Hi Tristan 👋 thank you so much for watching bro 😀 I'll come up with something
Great video! I love eating wagyu myself. I believe the one that Costco carries is Miyazaki, which is good, but not as good when comparing it to the top 3, Kobe, Omi, and Matsuzaka. If you try it again, try pairing it with some wasabi or flake salt, it goes really great with it. Also cook your mushrooms in the left over wagyu fat and fond makes a big difference.
Hi FantaZmal 👋 thank you for the info and thank you for the recommendation 👍 I'll definitely do it next time and thank you so much for watching 😄
miyazaki has consistently placed above kobe in competition so it is miyazaki that is above kobe
@@Kiwippy Afaik, The Wagyu beef competition is held every five years, and Kobe Beef has not been competing in that competition for awhile now has it's already solidified its position and brand, so you can't compare it in that way. I myself have eaten a lot of different wagyu, in Japan and from my friend who imports japanese wagyu for his restaurant and business and we both stand on our opinion that Kobe is much better than Miyazaki, and again it's our opinion, but Kobe is also a LOT more expensive than Miyazaki, nearly 2-3 times per lb. At least for what I've paid for here in the US.
@@aznwingzr0 kobe is expensive for its brand recognition, that doesnt mean its better because if it was it wouldnt be beaten consistently in terms of flavour, texture, and overall breed quality
Since A5 is a grading scale by Japanese government why would a brand name be better or worse than another?
“Oh men my son likes it too =( “ i interpret that as “Oh no less for me !” I feel you hahaha
Hi J ellowpy 👋 thank you so much for watching 😀 it's all good ..he doesn't have to go through what his dad had to go through 😆
Never tried wagyu before so I've decided to try it next week as a birthday gift to myself. After watching your video I'll be trying it from Costco, wish me luck
Hi Jon 👋 thank you so much for watching 😄 happy early birthday and good luck 🤞🎉🎂 hope you enjoy the 🥩

I really didn't eat that much bro 😆 I'm glad you enjoyed the video 😀
Brother, Costco owes you a royalty for the fabulous promotion. Great job!
Hi Jack 👋 thank you and thank you so much for watching bro 😄 I wish 😭
You picked out a good steak...the ribeye cut has different specifications depending on which end, you got a nice steal with a big cap and the diamond of fat..
I didnt know Costco sold those, thanks for sharing
Hi Michael 👋 thank you and thank you so much for watching bro 😄
I like how he looked around before taking a bite, like he was doing something illegal, lol. 😆😂
Hi Kman 👋 thank you so much for watching bro 😄 I was just checking the time 😆
Lmao this is so far the best channel ive seen today😂for food that is
Hi Backfrum Thedeadking 👋 thank you so much for watching 😀
Pat ur salt onto the meat, not rub. It will make it so ur salt doesn’t move around, and stays evenly coated, and not clumped up in one spot. Awesome video, my friend!
Beautifully cooked though!
Hi KDub's Hype 👋 thank you for the tip and thank you so much for watching 😄
The scary thing about selling this in a regualr store, is that there'll most likely be someone who buys this cut of wagyu A5, cooks it well done (dead tissue), and then complains about it. That hurts my soul ngl
Hi J Rubach 👋 thank you so much for watching 😄 you're right 😆 they do have instructions on the back though
@@DavidSriracha That’s good to hear 😄
You've never had a A5 wagyu cooked to well done have you? I only eat my A5 well done. Never regretted a single bit. It's nothing like a normal well done steak. The meat still is tender AF and melts in mouth because half of it is fat. IMO it even tastes better than medium/medium rare A5 because the fat is better rendered down and not like under cooked fat.
It's literally impossible to overcook an A5 wagyu unless you burn it.
I’m gonna get two, one for me and one for my brother, he’s a serious steak lover and we’ve hit some great steakhouses here in DC, but I know he’s never had Waygu before. Thanks for the video dude!!!
Hi slice39 👋 thank you so much for watching 😄 hope you guys enjoy the 🥩
Eat it with the mushrooms and rice... FORGET THAAAT!" LMAO thanks for letting me know they sell it at Costco im definitely going to buy some after tax return!
Hi InterstellarKev 👋 np and thank you so much for watching bro 😀 hope you enjoy the 🥩
Not to burst anyone's bubble, but if you come to Japan, a tip is to go to the supermarket; you can get these same cuts, sizes, and grade at basically $15 USD. Seriously. (Source, Ok Mart, Sendagaya, Shibuya-Ku, Tokyo, Japan)
Hi CarpFoon 0'Hydrate 👋 thank you for sharing and thank you so much for watching 😄 now I can see why they're able to do all you can eat A5 for only $65/person 😆
