- Tonight’s guest, Yowie Dan, had his 1st Yowie encounter in July of 2005, at a greyhound racing track, in Appin, Australia. He was waiting with his dog, Sally, by the track because it wasn’t time for her race yet. All of a sudden, Sally turned and started barking frantically at a stand of tea trees. That was totally out of character for Sally. That was actually the 1st time Dan had ever heard Sally bark at anything. When Dan looked down at her, her hair was bristled up and she had put herself between Dan and the stand of tea trees. Seconds later, an enormous roar erupted from the trees. Dan was beside himself, trying to figure out what was dealing with. Naturally, he’d never experienced anything like that. He didn’t see the Yowie that was just out of sight that day, but when he had his next encounter with a Yowie, in the Blue Mountains, near Glenbrook, he saw a 12-footer!

I would be interested in learning if you know a fellow Aussie researcher by the name of Paul McLeod who began researching after he was attacked and survived a Yowie attack along with a girlfriend at night. This was several years ago. As a;ways, thank you Vic for having the most interesting guests on your show(s). 🙂

I Can't find Australian yowie chanel
Look for Australian Yowie. When I capitalized the Y on yowie, it showed up a little ways down the list. Without the capitol, it didn’t. I know it makes no sense, but that’s what it did. Weird.

If you want to see a Yowie, if you have thermal equipment, you really need to go to wee- jasper NSW and head towards Tumit. 11’2 klms from the left hand turn just after wee-jasper there must be a family of them living in the mountains. We see tracks all the time. We have tried to contact yowie hunters with no luck and we don’t have the equipment like cams etc but if I had a thermal I would take the best footage ever taken. I am willing to show you where we seen four of them and they smelt like human shit. There is no other words to explain the smell/stench. It’s like cats hit, mixed with human shit. It makes you sick smelling it. I am sure other animals would run miles to get away from the smell alone. It was at the time hardly any rain and not much water in the river so unsure if that had anything to do with it or they always smell this way. I even rode a letter to the local member of area to see if the Australian Army like the SAS could do a operation out there and try kill or capture one but I never heard back. We reported the sightings to Yass police but they just laugh
