Clive was unique. To me, he was a genius. That one offbeat stroke on the snare drum... it's for the ages. No other drummer on earth would have come up with that idea. And that song is a good example for his (kind of) "reverse" style - he put the accents everywhere else than where a "straight" drummer would have put them. My deepest respect to him. R.I.P.

Alright musicians, give this a thought. First I must say I read the posts and some of you said how can a band ask this man to leave the band? I completely agree, I think the main man is the one and only Steve, he didn't want to give Clive some time off to spend with family because his father died, I find this sickining. Work work work! The puke bucket and Clive's rock and roll "indulgence's is bull****. I can't believe Adrian said this in a interview not long ago he knows this isn't true. If you Google "Why was Clive Burr asked to leave" Clive came out finally and said the indulgences were completely not true" Now from what I remember Nicko was asked if he wanted the job, he said he didn't want to step on any toes and get in the middle of anything, then he was asked very stern, DO YOU WANT THE JOB OR NO?" He said ok. So I can't blame all on Nicko, would you leave a blues band making peanuts to be in Iron Maiden? Now what I wanted to say to fellow musicians (I started playing drums in 83 at 17) I want to make a comparison. I think Clive Burr and Randy Rhoads were so alike. Two very humble great human beings that were so great and took from us too soon. Clive was asked to leave coincidentally the same year RR died. And when Clive left Maiden the band was different, to me they weren't the same. Ozzy's music the same, when Randy was gone you clearly hear the music was not the same. Two great humble men RIP, you were at the top few of the greatest musicians I ever heard!!
