Heres a break down of the S10s front suspension. As always on a BUDGET! Plus how to install trick springs without losing a eye! skip to 11:26 for the spring install
If people would look in the service manuals, this is how they say to replace front coul springs. Been doing it this way for over 35 years since I first became a certified master tech.
Its near midnight and this is exactly what im doing, and after getting frustrated (not a rookie at any means) i found this little gym. Going to lowes tomorrow, great idea. Thanks for saving my eye 😂. Seriously though good problem sover idea.
I'm so glad I found your channel. I used to be all gung-ho about just throw a powerful motor in and that was it, now I come to realize the safety aspect and with replacing parts. You do a dang good job at explaining. Thanks and hope you keep putting out informative videos like this.
I'm not even a Chevy guy. Mopar all the way here. But you have a very good and informative channel. I have only been watching a couple days now. First time I happened along your channel I did subscribe. Keep up the good work.
Good stuff, I'm kinda simple i like driving mine on the street with spool, trick springs, and no sway bars, but DA shocks can drastically change street manners i just put those on last year. Btw wilwood makes aluminum metric calipers that are almost a bolt on other then hoses, and are very affordable. They have similar ones for my nova they have been great
@@ordinaryguygarage3667 just the qa1 DAs, the vikings are nice too if you get the right valving, i put them both in the middle on the street and it calms down the trick spring alot then losen compression at the track, on 90/10 it was fun go over a small hump at the front would float and stay up, i got a kick out of it.
I, want a new set, of trick springs for Christmas. You'll knock an eye out, kid! Ho...... Ho.....Ho.....😀 Your uploads are like, being at a buddies shop. Best of luck to you, sir.
Great video just found your Chanel , me and my son are racing a camaro on a budget. Also finishing a 383 for this year similar to yours Would love to try those springs , how do I get a hold of you ?
I had a guy ask for the springs yesterday. I told him to give me his shipping info via Instagram (ordinary_guy_garage) I haven't heard from him yet. Go ahead and message me your shipping info and if I don't hear from him by tonight Ill ship them to you instead.. Thanks for watching!
@@ordinaryguygarage3667 thanks. It looks like you really enjoy your hobby. Have fun with it and plz never take safety lightly. That trick will be crazy fast. Especially for not having power adders.

Unfortunately, my fenders are on my car. Im guessing theres not enough space to get the threaded rod in there.
What if you were to reverse the way I did it and tighten from the bottom instead of the top?

What are the part numbers for the speedway steal bushings i can only find one side
Love your Channel, I have a white gen 1 S10 as well. Even have a 383 with a very similiar hp, need a set of AFRs though
I think everybody could use a set of AFRs! 😃
does it sit higher than stock, i have a sbc 88 s10

sit right about stock height

So you know I enjoy your channel..

Drawing a little blood proves you been working hard.
Yes sir!!
Just wondering what the truck ran in the 1/4.
It went 10.60 with the new set up.. still has a few bugs, should run 10.30ish

@@laynelommen9460 thank you… I’m kinda cautious by nature
Has anyone taken you up on the springs? Building a 86 ext cab S10
Yes, I sent them out to a new home!
Did you happen to see the no name nationals for utube guys?
No, I’m no aware of that
I cheat - I have anchors in my garage floor where I can hold the chassis in place and then use floor or bottle jacks
