Honkai Star Rail is one of my favorite gachas as of now, but lately it's doing decisions that I think that are harmful to the current roster and powercreeping it. New characters Yunli and Lingsheng comes out with Path + Element combos that already exist. This feels like trying to replace older characters instead of filling in other needed niches. Yunli not only powercreep Clara in gameplay, but also in character design (barefeet children).
Gallagher was just a place holder so I think lingsha was expected, because we only have two limited abundance characters and one standard. Yunli path and elemental was a weird choice though especially when ice is so lacking in the limited 5 star department
In my opinion, Lingsha being released is understandable, because there will always be a 5 star version of an existing 4 star with the same path+element. But I do agree with you on Yunli. The reason I love HSR is because they were doing what Genshin never did, which was to release characters with new path+element every patch. I was really hoping that they would continue this route until every possible path+element has been released, yet they chose to release Yunli this early. So I'm starting to get worried. No hate on Yunli though, I'm sure she'll be fun. It just reminded me of Genshin (I left that game a long time ago). I remember waiting for a claymore+hydro character for so long and they never released one (even to this day lol)
I think people have been wanting to get a premium Clara, it's just they made it too obvious that Yunli is supposed to be the better version of Clara. For Gallagher though, it's bound to happen for 4 stars to get a 5 stars version, even limited 5 stars too. It has been happening since launch: Luocha = 5 stars Natasha Blade = 5 stars Arlan Huo Huo = premium Bailu Sparkle = premium Bronya Black Swan = 5 stars Sampo Aventurine = premium Gepard Firefly = 5 stars Hook Jade = 5 stars Herta/Qingque Jiaoqiu = 5 stars Gui Lingsha = 5 stars Lynx But it doesn't mean it's bad really, it just mean they provide a way to upgrade your team to premium if you want. As long as they don't make limited character that works similar to other limited character then it's bad.
People who argue when someone quits a gacha game needs to have their internet taken. We're all here to have fun and if it's not fun anymore, move on to the next one. You can only play so many games, some won't make the cut and that's normal. I hope you don't burn out and find more enjoyment without ZZZ. Keep up the great video content!
The TV stuff really killed ZZZ for me which is a shame because I really like the character designs and art style. I'm not a big fan of Hoyo's normal art styles so seeing them finally do something different was actually exciting. Whoever came up with the TV idea really kneecapped this game man. For now I'm just gonna stick to Wuwa and Reverse 1999.

Coming from someone that uninstalled the game because tvs made me mad. After knowing what to expect and giving it another shot i found myself enjoying it. If you can look past the tvs there is a pretty good game wiht awesome characters underneath.
I tried to like it too man. These past few days, I was just logging in for the dailies. Til I realized what's the point if the combat isn't personally on par to what I'm already playing. I didn't enjoy anymore so I deleted it. I can't handle so many gachas. I find myself only sticking with 3 with different genres and that's WuWa, PGR, and Reverse 1999. So basically, I opted for WuWa for openworld, PGR for instance-based combat, and R1999 for turn-based. I see these as side games that I login in for the dailies and play a bit longer when there's content. Then I choose 1 non-gacha/LSG game to play which could be considered the main game.
@@abhiss6705 In terms of combat its kinda equal on Aether Gazer really, the only difference is the animated combination attack of 2-3 char. that synergize which if you want flashy combat but not overly hard like PGR, i take Aether Gazer, but if i want story,atmosphere,bgm etc Zzz is better.

Over exaggerating but it does get good after ~25 which I absolutely agree is way too long. And surprisingly, the story and tv system gets much better in ch 2 and especially ch 3. Don’t blame people for quitting though.
While it's completely opposite for me, ZZZ grew on me. What got kept me in the game was the endearing set of characters and their personality as well as the episodic-type of story. I'm someone who enjoy gacha game stories as they've been really compelling. That said, the reasons why games don't retain you mustn't be held against you. I applaud you for not intellectualizing your reasons for quitting. Not liking a game is plain and simple enough and fair.
I can understand what you mean by too many gacha games. I limit myself to only 2 (Honkai Impact and Star Rail), that way it allows me to still have time to play non-gacha games.
I really wanted to try giving ZZZ a chance, but I'm still butthurt the fact that I freed up 110GB of my storage, deleting some games and stuff, spent my 55GB of internet quota... just for it to not work on my laptop. I'm confused cuz WuWa runs pretty good on my laptop, but ZZZ won't run because supposedly my laptop has only 2 CPU cores. It's also not compatible on my phone. Off topic, but does this mean you won't cover/try PGR? No pressure if you don't, though.

Completely relatable. What I personally do is put the games into a priority list and only do dailys on some of them that I'm actually playing at the time. I do Wuthering Waves and ZZZ dailys everyday currently but once I get my Characters built on ZZZ I'm done lmao I hate (don't understand) the combat but to be fair my Soldier 11 and Piper team is missing a character I need and when I switched to Neko, Emby ,and Nicole it was a lot more enjoyable. I do Tower of Fantasy once a week to purchase my weekly reset items but I don't bother with dailys I do Honkai Star Rail occasionally but mainly only when there's new story or an event to do I rarely do dailys. Genshin Impact I log in once every 2 weeks just to check it out and usually log right back off within 2 minutes lol unless the event seems fun to do or there's a new story quests and I never use resin. I also force myself to do Fortnite Dailys everyday and I'm not gonna lie Fortnite feels like such a chore... it used to be enjoyable and the only game I played for awhile but lately it's just not hitting the same for me it used to be better without the whole metaverse stuff like I like creative mode but they put so much effort spreading the content out between battle royale, lego, festival, and rocket racing so it's just not the same as when they focused mainly on BR and they are adding Fall Guys soon too so the content will be even more spread out.

Tbh these games will be around for a while. Nothing wrong with coming back when things do improve. WuWa and Genshin are games that favor starting a bit later, imo, and I feel ZZZ will most likely be the same.
I'm thinking about quitting it too since it's so boring after running out of energy (At least u can pre-farm for echos in WuWa or run around doing resinless behaviors with your characters and friends in both WuWa and GI) Its combat is getting a lil too easy ngl. I feel like if u get your characters strong enough, u can get through every level of Shiyu defense with S rank without even trying hard.(I have already beat Shiyu 10 S ranked) The character designs are not appealing enough to convince me to spend money on them. Prolly will just quit to save myself some time to do other stuff lol. 😅
I also quit ZZZ , I enjoyed the combat but that TV thingy killed my time. Is too much and I think my attention span is too short lol. HSR and Wuwa much better bcoz it can play a short of time and ur done.
Ngl, I LOVE Star Rail but them ruining Jiaoqui's kit, the character I was waiting for since I got Acheron and the character I was hyped and prefarmed EVERYTHING for killed my passion for hsr *currently* tbh ...Cause now I'll have to go through 2 patches filled with characters I don't need and I have no interest in (2.4 and 2.5) And then they made Moze, another character I was hyped for, a 4* lightning dps... couldn't be worse 😭🙏 I mean, it's a gacha game, and you kinda lose passion when you have no character to look forward to I guess the story and the reruns are my only way to stand it for the next few patches
I’m playing WuWa and ZZZ currently. I like both but it can get a bit repetitive just logins and stamina consumption. Burnout from multiple games can occur if you aren’t having fun. Don’t worry about it and do what is best for you. Good video and insights.
I'm considering Yunli because of lack in my physical coverage but when i saw leaked showcases, she was mostly run hyperbuffed team to deal 300 to 400k damage. I mean if we already have acheron, firefly that can deal more damage in an off element mobs then she isn't worth the jades.. im looking forward to Feixiao though because i also lack wind coverage but we will see on future in game showcases.
Got c2 Archeron. And at this point, the entire game has become an auto battler with units like Ruan Mei or Firefly who just trivialize the combat to the point where I just auto everything meaning the game is literally an auto battler for me. When I got the auto battler feeling. My interests into the game just vaporized like water on a hot rock in the desert. And the new MSQ is agonizingly bad. Please... Just... Shut... The $&@- up... The only good IPC is a dead IPC. I don't want to do more IPC content that doesn't involve shagging their asses.
Nowadays, elemental coverage alone isn't enough anymore. It feels like they want us to counter every gimmick they throw at us: break, shields, dots, follow-up attacks, debuffs, and the list goes on. While Yunli isn't necessarily my top priority, she completely powercreep Clara especially in pure fiction since we often see enemies don't even attack in there lol.
i played 4 gacha games, and all of them killing me. even i got not time to farm echoes, none are hoyo games but still. i cant add more games i swear! i didn play totalwar or single player game anymore 💀

I feel you. I personally cant wait for some of these other games to come out for more options. But in reality i think when Im playing two is when its the best. Wuwa is currently my number 1 and im still playing ZZZ but i think ill end up dropping it soon. So im hoping one of these other games becomes a game i wanna play long term. These games are really fun though to play during launch if anything. Its when you stick with it too long after you stop having fun they become terrible.
For me it got boring fast. I was willing to give it some time to cook but the combat felt samey. I already played a lot of brawler type games. Aether gazer and PGR are better than this. Honestly it's mainly because I am so invested in aether gazer. The life sim elements are lackluster. Just copying the aesthetic of persona isn't gonna cut it. I don't mind the tv system so much , but it's the same hoyo formula for the artifact and gear grind. Already incurred a lifes worth of pain from genshin and HSR.
ZZZ onboarding as a new player is terrible and a slog Add the terrible rates and rewards with how hard it is to get the character I actually want, what incentive is there to keep me playing? The fighting game comparison is also silly and borderline insulting to the genre. I can pick and dedicate myself to a character I want from the get go without any stupid gacha in an actual fighting game.
I mainly play hsr and wuwa too but still trying to give a chance to zzz if they don't improve the game until 1.1 I'm done too they really need to change the story telling what's wrong with doing all the story with comic panels instead of tvs

rn my gacha game ranks r WuWA > ZZZ > GI as i already drop star rail as the playstyle of that game is not my type however, im gonna considered to drop GI as well due to fact that natlan feels like not gonna change anything about that game.. Even when they make dailies more easy, i still find annoying going through dialogs and unnecessary cutscence . I wasted a lot of time auto click in genshin while watching video in my other monitor, it's not playing the game at that point and start being a chore so i decided to take a break , i'm very close to pitty tho , so i'll come back and pull for the pyro archon but i'm unsure if i will still continue playing the game after that
WUWA (QOL, Combat oriented), > Genshin (just playing it for achievements and completionist grind but the lack of QOL for the longest time just bored me..)
PGR > WuWa by a mile. I picked up both at the same time and while WuWa might be a competitor in a year or two. Currently it just cannot beat how good PGR is with it's 4 years of high quality content to go trough. I'm on some good copium for sure when I'm hoping that Kuro doesn't grow complacent and think they can just cruise among like Mihoyo with their games. A lot of people are already bored of WuWa, and for good reasons. As someone who burned myself out on Genshin exploration. I really have no interest in WuWa exploration whatsoever and just want more combat, something PGR absolutely delivers on.
@@zealgaming8161 By a mile is a stretch, but at the end of the day, gacha games all come down to resource management, you just keep grinding for materials till the end of time, and because of that I got burned out from PGR. The combat is great sure, but the things to do in the game isn't diverse enough, after 2 months everything feel repetitive for me to do, it just so happen that they had a collab with "Nier Automata" so I decided to stick around for a bit to get the characters, which is another good thing to praise Kurogame, this company is very generous.
@@zealgaming8161 Yeah, the best thing WuWa can differentiate themselves from Genshin openworld is too add a rouge like co-op dungeon same as MMORPG which gives rewards from Echo Exp to Money or they can add blueprint for weapons etc of course put a limit on it daily or weekly. I didn't play GI for 4 yrs so i don't share the same feeling as people who got burn out with GI.

The best they can really do with WuWa to differentiate their openworld from GI, is to put a coop or single player random instance dungeon same as MMORPG (if they can make the dungeon map be randomize rouge like or if they have 2-3 map design rotating) it would be a huge difference the rewards can be Echo EXP,Money or they can make a grind about getting a weapon blueprint for standard 5 star weap doesn't matter if they make it hard, but the main problem is going to be how bad its going to affect Phone storage and playing in phones.

It's understandable. I basically jump from ZZZ(IK40), to HSR(TL70) then to Wuwa(UL56) Though I quit Genshin nearly 2 yrs ago. Just lost overall interest.

The TV stuff actually drains me so much. It’s like the Simulated universe, Sure I’ll do it 1-2 times a week but being forced to do it for EVERYTHING would be way too much. And that’s exactly what ZZZ did with the tvs. Also the lack of male characters are a shame. I’m still gonna play since I want to learn the game and the devs have mentioned fixing somethings (tbh idk how they’d do this without a full revamp though) and I’m at rank 40- but if things don’t get fixed I’m gonna just stick to HSR
Eh.........i just load up my 18+ heavy modified game, look for those character mods and card models, load them and have FUN with them. You dont even have to play trash game any more to have fun with waifus there.
same here, got to lv35 and I asked myself why do i play this game, after the honey moon phase, it’s just daily, farm mats, save for pulls, build units repeats. Also it’s Hoyo game, Genshin leaves a bad taste for me after playing for a year during yoimiya release. for me zzz doesn’t bring anything special, the combat is fun but is it better than wuwa? not for me. The story got better in chapter 2 and 3 but I don’t play gacha game for the story, might as well go watch a tv series. And lastly the character design, 6 loli and furry at launch? and they’re adding more? i’ll pass. Would’ve stop way earlier but i manage to get Grace and Ellen somehow so it was fun while it lasted.
I quit zzz at level 40. Minuses that I collected myself and with some additions from other people - tv system, not convenient ui, not interesting story, the first event in the game is dull, combat system is too simple, rewards are too small, a huge amount of unnecessary dialogs, a lot of crashes, takes up a lot of space, terrible optimization on phones. Now let's list the pros: animations
It feels like it can be fun but to many under age character and furry for me understanding timeline of everything join together but I like hsr over and genshin over zzz
try it. I don't enjoy turn based rpg a lot, but HSR has a very captivating early game and it's turn base gameplay is also not overtly complicated. I enjoyed it a lot. no harm in trying, so if you're interested go for it. I think the sci-fi theme of the story did a ton of lifting for me cuz I really like sci-fi themed games.

for me honkai star rail is way better , and let you do things faster and not boring all the time, its a gatcha and it needs to let us clear things faster because it wasnt make to make you stay like 100 hours or so , it should be 1 hour at worse on dailys , but the time to do the tv and the combat, while the combat is nice you cant clear it faster because they are on another space so you need to defeat 1 then anoter way when you can change to the tv , one of the times you have to defeat 4 waves and still need to defeat more with those stupid tvs , dam can it be strealined in one attack and be done with that?

Well its on 1.1. Genshit was even more soulless in 1.0, but at that time we were stuck indoors and had nothing to do (and a lot of games got canceled).

I can understand what you mean by too many gacha games. I limit myself to only 2 (Honkai Impact and Star Rail), that way it allows me to still have time to play non-gacha games.
I really wanted to try giving ZZZ a chance, but I'm still butthurt the fact that I freed up 110GB of my storage, deleting some games and stuff, spent my 55GB of internet quota... just for it to not work on my laptop. I'm confused cuz WuWa runs pretty good on my laptop, but ZZZ won't run because supposedly my laptop has only 2 CPU cores. It's also not compatible on my phone.

Completely relatable. What I personally do is put the games into a priority list and only do dailys on some of them that I'm actually playing at the time.
I do Wuthering Waves and ZZZ dailys everyday currently but once I get my Characters built on ZZZ I'm done lmao I hate (don't understand) the combat but to be fair my Soldier 11 and Piper team is missing a character I need and when I switched to Neko, Emby ,and Nicole it was a lot more enjoyable.
I do Tower of Fantasy once a week to purchase my weekly reset items but I don't bother with dailys
I do Honkai Star Rail occasionally but mainly only when there's new story or an event to do I rarely do dailys.
Genshin Impact I log in once every 2 weeks just to check it out and usually log right back off within 2 minutes lol unless the event seems fun to do or there's a new story quests and I never use resin.
I also force myself to do Fortnite Dailys everyday and I'm not gonna lie Fortnite feels like such a chore... it used to be enjoyable and the only game I played for awhile but lately it's just not hitting the same for me it used to be better without the whole metaverse stuff like I like creative mode but they put so much effort spreading the content out between battle royale, lego, festival, and rocket racing so it's just not the same as when they focused mainly on BR and they are adding Fall Guys soon too so the content will be even more spread out.

Tbh these games will be around for a while. Nothing wrong with coming back when things do improve. WuWa and Genshin are games that favor starting a bit later, imo, and I feel ZZZ will most likely be the same.

Its combat is getting a lil too easy ngl. I feel like if u get your characters strong enough, u can get through every level of Shiyu defense with S rank without even trying hard.(I have already beat Shiyu 10 S ranked)
The character designs are not appealing enough to convince me to spend money on them.

I’m playing WuWa and ZZZ currently. I like both but it can get a bit repetitive just logins and stamina consumption. Burnout from multiple games can occur if you aren’t having fun. Don’t worry about it and do what is best for you. Good video and insights.
I'm considering Yunli because of lack in my physical coverage but when i saw leaked showcases, she was mostly run hyperbuffed team to deal 300 to 400k damage. I mean if we already have acheron, firefly that can deal more damage in an off element mobs then she isn't worth the jades.. im looking forward to Feixiao though because i also lack wind coverage but we will see on future in game showcases.
Got c2 Archeron. And at this point, the entire game has become an auto battler with units like Ruan Mei or Firefly who just trivialize the combat to the point where I just auto everything meaning the game is literally an auto battler for me. When I got the auto battler feeling. My interests into the game just vaporized like water on a hot rock in the desert.
And the new MSQ is agonizingly bad. Please... Just... Shut... The $&@- up... The only good IPC is a dead IPC. I don't want to do more IPC content that doesn't involve shagging their asses.
Nowadays, elemental coverage alone isn't enough anymore. It feels like they want us to counter every gimmick they throw at us: break, shields, dots, follow-up attacks, debuffs, and the list goes on. While Yunli isn't necessarily my top priority, she completely powercreep Clara especially in pure fiction since we often see enemies don't even attack in there lol.

I feel you. I personally cant wait for some of these other games to come out for more options. But in reality i think when Im playing two is when its the best. Wuwa is currently my number 1 and im still playing ZZZ but i think ill end up dropping it soon. So im hoping one of these other games becomes a game i wanna play long term.
These games are really fun though to play during launch if anything. Its when you stick with it too long after you stop having fun they become terrible.

For me it got boring fast. I was willing to give it some time to cook but the combat felt samey. I already played a lot of brawler type games. Aether gazer and PGR are better than this.
Honestly it's mainly because I am so invested in aether gazer. The life sim elements are lackluster. Just copying the aesthetic of persona isn't gonna cut it. I don't mind the tv system so much , but it's the same hoyo formula for the artifact and gear grind. Already incurred a lifes worth of pain from genshin and HSR.

I mainly play hsr and wuwa too but still trying to give a chance to zzz if they don't improve the game until 1.1 I'm done too they really need to change the story telling what's wrong with doing all the story with comic panels instead of tvs

I knew the TV system was going to be a problem but I really tried to like the story but that didn't grab my attention.

Even when they make dailies more easy, i still find annoying going through dialogs and unnecessary cutscence . I wasted a lot of time auto click in genshin while watching video in my other monitor, it's not playing the game at that point and start being a chore so i decided to take a break , i'm very close to pitty tho , so i'll come back and pull for the pyro archon but i'm unsure if i will still continue playing the game after that
WUWA (QOL, Combat oriented), > Genshin (just playing it for achievements and completionist grind but the lack of QOL for the longest time just bored me..)
PGR > WuWa by a mile. I picked up both at the same time and while WuWa might be a competitor in a year or two. Currently it just cannot beat how good PGR is with it's 4 years of high quality content to go trough.
I'm on some good copium for sure when I'm hoping that Kuro doesn't grow complacent and think they can just cruise among like Mihoyo with their games.
A lot of people are already bored of WuWa, and for good reasons.
As someone who burned myself out on Genshin exploration. I really have no interest in WuWa exploration whatsoever and just want more combat, something PGR absolutely delivers on.
@@zealgaming8161 By a mile is a stretch, but at the end of the day, gacha games all come down to resource management, you just keep grinding for materials till the end of time, and because of that I got burned out from PGR. The combat is great sure, but the things to do in the game isn't diverse enough, after 2 months everything feel repetitive for me to do, it just so happen that they had a collab with "Nier Automata" so I decided to stick around for a bit to get the characters, which is another good thing to praise Kurogame, this company is very generous.
@@zealgaming8161 Yeah, the best thing WuWa can differentiate themselves from Genshin openworld is too add a rouge like co-op dungeon same as MMORPG which gives rewards from Echo Exp to Money or they can add blueprint for weapons etc of course put a limit on it daily or weekly.
I didn't play GI for 4 yrs so i don't share the same feeling as people who got burn out with GI.

The best they can really do with WuWa to differentiate their openworld from GI, is to put a coop or single player random instance dungeon same as MMORPG (if they can make the dungeon map be randomize rouge like or if they have 2-3 map design rotating) it would be a huge difference the rewards can be Echo EXP,Money or they can make a grind about getting a weapon blueprint for standard 5 star weap doesn't matter if they make it hard, but the main problem is going to be how bad its going to affect Phone storage and playing in phones.
@@zealgaming8161 Mine is Wuwa > PGR, ARPG is not my cup of tea and what I don't like the most in that game is the dormitory system, actually in any game that has that. Makes it a chore. Tho you do are right PGR has 4 years of QoL and changes, so it has be better, tho Wuwa, it did release, with Kuro being Kuro, I think they will continue to polish both games, maybe even give WuWa a PGR treatment and make it taken care of

It's understandable. I basically jump from ZZZ(IK40), to HSR(TL70) then to Wuwa(UL56) Though I quit Genshin nearly 2 yrs ago. Just lost overall interest.

The TV stuff actually drains me so much. It’s like the Simulated universe, Sure I’ll do it 1-2 times a week but being forced to do it for EVERYTHING would be way too much. And that’s exactly what ZZZ did with the tvs. Also the lack of male characters are a shame.

same here, got to lv35 and I asked myself why do i play this game, after the honey moon phase, it’s just daily, farm mats, save for pulls, build units repeats. Also it’s Hoyo game, Genshin leaves a bad taste for me after playing for a year during yoimiya release. for me zzz doesn’t bring anything special, the combat is fun but is it better than wuwa? not for me. The story got better in chapter 2 and 3 but I don’t play gacha game for the story, might as well go watch a tv series. And lastly the character design, 6 loli and furry at launch? and they’re adding more? i’ll pass. Would’ve stop way earlier but i manage to get Grace and Ellen somehow so it was fun while it lasted.

Minuses that I collected myself and with some additions from other people - tv system, not convenient ui, not interesting story, the first event in the game is dull, combat system is too simple, rewards are too small, a huge amount of unnecessary dialogs, a lot of crashes, takes up a lot of space, terrible optimization on phones. If you don't enjoy turn based, you're really not gonna enjoy HRS. Its pretty much a jrpg
try it. I don't enjoy turn based rpg a lot, but HSR has a very captivating early game and it's turn base gameplay is also not overtly complicated. I enjoyed it a lot. no harm in trying, so if you're interested go for it.
I think the sci-fi theme of the story did a ton of lifting for me cuz I really like sci-fi themed games.

for me honkai star rail is way better , and let you do things faster and not boring all the time, its a gatcha and it needs to let us clear things faster because it wasnt make to make you stay like 100 hours or so , it should be 1 hour at worse on dailys , but the time to do the tv and the combat, while the combat is nice you cant clear it faster because they are on another space so you need to defeat 1 then anoter way when you can change to the tv , one of the times you have to defeat 4 waves and still need to defeat more with those stupid tvs , dam can it be strealined in one attack and be done with that?

Well its on 1.1. Genshit was even more soulless in 1.0, but at that time we were stuck indoors and had nothing to do (and a lot of games got canceled).
