That joke was more of a humiliation for those poor people who had to go out for work.

My father worked in the saudi government and he used to sometimes translate english to Arabic for some Arabian people.
So there was this Sri Lankan woman who was brought in Saudi Arabia, she was brought as a maid, the family of the maid kept sending here letters why she wasn't sending money, why she wasn't even answering.
As the years went by, the family didn't care for money, they just wanted her to come back, the husband would write to her that the kids need her, his health is getting worse, then the letter got written by her kids instead and told that his health is very bad and cant write himself, begging for her to come back, then the last letter said she doesn't need to come back, her husband died and they no longer consider her a family. All this happened through the course of years, they all thought the woman betrayed them, when in fact the saudi man who hired her kept all the letters and kept her as a slave and those letters were given to my father for translation. My father since that day never liked the Arabian people.
He was an immigrant himself at the end of the day so he couldn't do much since he had a family of his own but he did tell me that his blood boiled as he read the letters.
In Bangladesh, every year there are more then hundreds of pregnant and wounded women return from Saudi, raped and tortured by the house owners and after returning they tell the media that they didn't get justice, somehow reach houseowners stopped the voice and escape every time. And this is happening everyday even now.

I know what you're talking about, I see the arguments on X but you have to understand the guys you're talking about are a minority of a minority: i.e a vocal minority of Hindutva nationalists who are ignorant about the Israeli occupation and only support Israel for 1) political reasons and 2) out of ignorance. The funny thing is,, the nationalist movement, until very recently, always supported the Palestinian cause because they understood the subjugation and humiliation that colonization and occupation entails. India and Israel did not even establish diplomatic relations until just a few decades ago because both the left-wing and right-wing nationalists were so fervently pro-Palestinian and anti-occupation.
I know the comments which praise Israel would be infuriating when you see the carnage and genocide occuring in Gaza I can understand how it would embitter your view of Indians but try to remember that what you see is an extremely obnoxious minority, many of whom live in little villages who are ignorant and have only just discovered the internet. Also remember that the opposite is true as well; that this minority has caused an enormous, venomous backlash in the Arab world and that now on X, random Arabs are calling for revenge and the mass persecution and even murder of Indians because of these comments. Now because many Arabs mistakenly think this is normal in India, now they are in turn dehumanizing an entire group, something which has been happening to Arabs in the US and Europe.
What I'm saying is that all countries have good and bad people and there is a diversity in perspectives in all nations. If you see these kinds of provocative accounts, you should remind them that the Hindutva nationalists and the BJP always supported the Palestinian cause until recently, and that they always supported the indigenous peoples over occupiers and colonialists.
There's no hate in general Indian population against muslims.
Let me give you a context, why some scepticism there is if there's any.
The British ruled for around 200 years, but they never destroyed one temple, muslim rulers as matter of written court documents ordered destruction of many temples,& places of worship, imposition of jajiya for practicing own faith, plundering and massacre of delhi by the likes of nader shah and taimur.
Yes Indian muslims like Mughals contributed greatly to the composite culture of this divine land. But after centuries later in modern history muslims again became the cause of its divide and bifurcation & creation of a military state like Pakistan.
And it doesn't end here, in every war with Pakistan muslim countries even the friendliest ones supported Pakistan at the expense of india just because of islam, even though india had equal no of muslims. And contemporarily the organisation of islamic corporation was always anti India, at every step without missing a beat.
You tell me wouldn't the one aware of what's going on will be wary of it?

Gulf countries don't even consider others as human. I know few people who got cheated and trapped there. Lived a life lesser than an animal, i cried when i saw one of my neighbours came back, i could literally see all his bones and there was a mark like tears flowing on his cheek.
Most UAE arabs have been kind and generous as visible in the top 3 developed emirates. But there may be some exceptions in some hotspots in some circumstances, one cannot deny blanketly. But the UAE is the most friendliest nation that I have ever seen in the Middle East and to some extent among other nations of the world. Most important their governing leadership has inculcated good values among their citizens which is very noteworthy!
I as a Somalian girl went to the uae and Saudi recently for the first time and bit my tongue many times… i could not see myself living there as i would be going to jail otherwise….I have seen nothing but bad mannerism and rude people who really think they are better than others because of their oil money… makes me question what they are when they don’t have the money…..by the way I went with my mother … they don’t even have respect for elderly people….

As someone who lived there for over a decade I can confirm that if you're a man from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal people will look at you and treat you as a filthy slave, less than an animal, not worthy of anything but insults and bullying, and if you even dare to complain and stand up for your dignity you will be punished, the word "Indian" or "Pakistani" is an insult there, people there are super racist and they're proud of it.

As a Pakistani who has numerous Indian friends in the USA, I feel so saddened by this. Some jokes can cross a line.
He did this because he knew that the Indian workers were working for him. This joke could have been made by the Indian workers too by putting him in a cage, but his pride would not let him do that.
