For the new folks , Corporate job is like a upgrade of those strict and bold private schools.
You don't get scolded or punished , Here you get warning emails and then you get fired.
You don't get marks here, but you get scorecards/productivity reports, where you are compared with others to achieve a certain amount of productivity per day. That is: comparison still exists.
You can't just skip days or just be absent , but you have to learn to make excuses even for the leaves you already got assigned.
At the end , as reward you do not get promoted to next standard :D
but just get a salary as reward.
To get a promotion in a corporate world , it's a whole different story. (I work at one of the FAANG companies now. For an instance i can say , bootlicker culture is still being followed by many people here. But that also depends on the type of person your manager is.)

To succeed in a corporate job, hard work will never take you places. Smart work may help you see success to an extent, but what real works is bootlicking, and that everyone cannot do or are simply not good at it cos they have something that most people in the Corporate world don't have, or probably sold to succeed, which is Integrity! Life as a corporate employee is actually ridiculous way of wasting your life until you drop dead due to you doing the job of 4 persons. And then you leave the company out of frustration, basically you will be surviving on pay check to pay check basis. So, if possible then make your passion as your career. Period.

Corporate : a stage set for ppl who can play dirty games and politics, gossips, crab culture.Corporates are a mix of actors.Good actors are in the lower n mid management and the outstanding n best actors are the head of dept,CFO,CEO n ........ Ultimately its a highly selfish n diplomatic set up where eventually ppl become ruthless for promotions,to become favourite, securing job n in human at the end.Remember life is a vicious circle things will return bk either to u or your kids.

But it's more than 9-5 today.
People are working for 14 hours and even more.
Also when you do something good, you aren't necessarily credited which is all right but one small mistake and boss starts lambasting.

But if you are not a job person, then there's no messed up thing compared to it in your life, you're sad, exhausted, complaining, no money to enjoy life, no time to enjoy life, so if you are that one then just get the he|| out of there

Well there are a lot of people who wish to have some passion or talent to latch on, but lack it. Those people get good job security in corporate world not to insult those who love their corporate job. Many are good at it.
Working in corporate since 5 years, I know both good and bad of it and have also seen friends on the other spectrum working in high paying startups, living thier lives and having their fair share of problems.
In the end, its not for everyone, like anything else. If you have a passion go for it, corporate gives you enough space to pursue your hobby until you feel leaving the job. If not, corporate provides at least bread to your family.

See having or working in a corporate or any job is fine unless and until they are following all legal and ethical norms like work hours, employee facilities, harassment issues, sexual favours, etc. If not employees should file a complaint against the organization for violation of such norms. Employees should not fear instead just dare and earn your rights

    1. People do less work and more leg pullings
    2. Senior - Junior thing is really bad. Every seniors want their juniors to be slave. People talk ragging in college but mental ragging is thr in corporates.
I think if manager’s performance review should be given to subordinates. That will make entire structure well.
