MoreSherylCrow , Grace was cute on her AGT audition, then, for her next performance, OVER-NIGHT, she was CUTIFUL!! Yes!..between CUTE & BEAUTIFUL (my conjigation), and is incrementally more cutiful everytime I see her on YT. It has ALOT to do with who she is, rather than her genetics. I think she'll have this look throughout her life if she remains who she is now, like Jackie Evancho.

Looks like Grace is controlling her high notes now. She is restraining herself from ruining her vocal chords. She use to hit them super high and have blow out cracks. They probably trained her to avoid that to protect her voice. It gives the song so much character tho. I hope she brings them back a little.
so nice to hear her on good equipment and in a cozy setting. i wonder if some of her singing came from responding to a giant room and mediocre microphones. she has such a broad dynamic that a lot can go missing

Grace is amazing. To be so extremely talented at her early age is beyond belief. I read a sci-fi novel 30 years ago, where the heroine in it, was doing a major musical concert to our solar system from Jupiter. Grace, could be her! And; for all the comments around mine here - her voice carries her self written songs, just in the very best way, to express them at her very young age. She is not of this planet compared to any other talent that has been on this planet. She is beyond all singers at her early age of now just 13 of years.

I know I'm not alone in my hopes that this wonderful talent will not be consumed by a predatory music industry. It was thrilling to hear her first performance, and that golden buzzer, but I felt dismayed at Simon's declaration that she would be the next Taylor Swift. I love Taylor, by the way, but it's like from the very beginning we were plotting her stardom and course in life. At 12!! She isn't Joan Baez or Carol King. She's an original. Let's see where that takes her. I look forward to hearing her music for years to come and wish much success and happiness.

It almost everything i do not understand maybe because i don't speak english , I am french ! But all i know is that i love the way she pronounces the words trouble , One of the greatest french writer had invented the emotive style;it was not poetry but every word was carrefully chosen so that together they sound good. Well, as an experienced American, I KNOW THE BASIC "JEST" OF WHAT YOU'RE SAYING, because I hear what you've described when she sings...YOU ARE 'SPOT ON!!" Now, I don't know if there is a musical term for what you're describing (which would be interesting to KNOW in and of itself), which is French to me, but we all know what Grace does. What we don't know is, if this part of her presentation is strictly "INTUITIVE" (AS YOU SO APTLY PUT IT) but this is still a definitive element to her 'EMOTIVE' style. For myself, I enjoy your perception, as well as your attempt to describe what you're hearing. The "grandness" about enjoying Grace's particular style is, it doesn't matter what country you're from. Aren't you glad for this?!! Curious, is Grace as big a hit in France as she is in the U.S.?!!
If we speak the same language it will be easier for me to express my feelings . My constructions of phrares are french ;sometimes i change the words because i know that the translation will not be very good , i guess. If you reply me could you do the same ?It 's a good exercise ! Sometime a word is translated good but does not have the same meaning .So for Grace i think she writes her text and then finds the music by hummig his words , the emotive style is already music : when she sing "a capella" without music it 's magic . She was a little girl who had things to say . Yet in his family with his sister talk seems possible but it might not be so easy . Her first two songs are for her sister : this one becomes a young woman and Grace knows well that her friends or " boyfriends" will separate them a little and she is afraid. for me clay talk about how boys look and consider girls at school , in general and the frivolity of these boys.This girl refuses model herself "clay" to their images and looks !
