One last thing...... The song tells us that if you do wrong and make wrong decisions, you will pay for them, no matter how hard you try to run away from your fate.

Baba Yaga is an enigmatic or ambiguous character from Slavic folklore who has two opposite roles. In some motifs she is described as a repulsive or ferocious-looking old woman who fries and eats children, while in others she is a nice old woman, who helps out the hero and guards nature. She is often associated with forest wildlife.
She is a dichotomy and in many ways represents humanity as a whole.

Since you mentioned stereotypes - this video was full on based on them actually. They asked the fans (idk where, I think insta) which stereotypes about Russia they know and then they tried to fit as many of them as possible here.

Had not really thought about it before, but found it interresting that Baba Yaga seems to be more famous for the eating children part and not so much the helping and nature aspect of her (at least in my experiences). That fits really well into the play on russian stereotypes in the video. Most russian stereotypes have a negative cognitation (alcohol, weapons, violence, conservative extremism and so on), especially today with Putin, the war and human rights issues there are in the country.
When I think about it that way it really is a reminder that we can not stare us blind on our preconcieved notions, especially when it comes to groups of people and even more so entire populations.

Presentation is theatrics. Many times, what is said is metaphor. Both are used to grab your attention.

Most metal that seems evil is really using extreme language and imagery to get across a legitimate point. I'm a Christian too so I see where the reservation comes from but most "evil" metal is just shock value or a way to convey something else. There is legitimately evil metal out there though. This doesn't mean you should be okay with it, but it does help with perspective.

Liked the music, hated the video. I don't like blood and gore. I don't watch horror movies. I enjoyed their straight music videos much more.
