Question. I know people pre-rotate to around 200 RPM before starting their takeoff roll. Is it a reasonable idea that you could pre-rotate to a higher RPM if you need a shorter take off run?
Thank you Ron. I was taught to always prerotate once lined up in the runway for safety purposes. I've seen people prerotate before entering the runway and would like to know what procedure if any do you use for prerotating at busy airfields. Thanks.
I simply announced that I'll be stationery momentarily to spin up the rotors. Once you've taxied in position on the runway, you have the right of way for the runway.
When the cyclic is in the full forward position during pre rotation, when you release the pre rotation device, then the cyclic should be moved to the full aft position DURING the count of 1_2_3. As not to jerk it totally rearward at once.. Thanks for watching
My son is thinking about building a gyro, to keep that interest I’d like for him to ride in one. Do you do rides? If so, what would that cost? If you don’t, do you know someone in the four states area (Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, & Oklahoma) that does?
Excelent.. thanks
Very detailed, thank you for going through each step with demonstrations
What is the fastest pre rotation speed is safe for short takeoff 😊 thanks I enjoy your video 😊
Nice E-bike btw.
Thanks for the video!
Great video - very informative
Glad you enjoyed it!
Iam in the process of uploading a 6 video series of getting your pilot certificate.
ahhh the old pulsating pnuematic clutch engagement trick. That explains the cooling holes in the clutch plate

Just out of curiosity a question. Wouldn't a small electric motor (high torque, low power) be a much simpler solution, with fewer parts?
What is the source of the pneumatic pressure? Is there an air pump on the engine?

Captain Ron what did you say after releasing the pre-rotator button? It sounded like count to three?

Wow !

Yes I can do that. Each 15min is $50.
