The Jeanneau power boats are relatively new to Australia and Boatadvice.com.au journalist Tony Crawford was lucky enough to take two of the latest powerboat models out on Sydney Harbour. The Merry Fisher 855 and the 695 with each appealing to buyers looking for more space and refinement than is usually found in the size class.
Tony describes these boats as SUVs of the water and innovative design and clever use of space certainly deliver a boat capable of many tasks while providing the luxury in a boat that many often crave, but rarely find.
The standout feature of both the Jeanneau Merry Fisher 855 and 695 is the abundant, classy use of glass providing a natural, spacious and airy feel throughout with the beauty of a walk on, walk off feel. No need to unbutton and then button up clears or covers once you arrive and then look to leave. Simply walk on, open the cabin door and close it when you leave.
The European feel is evident throughout and Tony found during this boat review that the appeal is certainly aimed at mum and dad buyers looking for room, refinement and performance with massive cabin space and outdoor room. The hull is a fantastic compromise between a cruising and planning hull which delivers performance when pushed and stability when you’re looking for a quiet night away.
Boatadvice.com.au recommends this boat for anyone looking for extra space and refinement than they may see on competitive boats.

from this year there is an offshore version with 2x200hp possible and B category.
But pls note it is 400 kg heavier than standard version /als the engines much heavier than one/. I think if you don't go really far from shore its better standart model with one 300 hp engine ..

This boats are made in Poland Eu, very good quality...we use 855 with evinrude 300hp and debasto heating all year round even when it is below O in winter !
Very usefull with autopilot and additional bigger water tank 250 l. With 400 l standart tank fantastic range .....we can go to Sweaden and back to Poland via Baltic sea on one tank !

Chris Gold Hi there, I saw in a video there are 2 longitudinal rails under the stern side sofa. What are they used for? I imagined maybe if the sofa is positioned all the way forward there could be some space in the back platform to accomodate a small tender rib? Also any idea why in this video he uses 2x200 HP when the max specs on Jeanneau's website are 2x150 HP ? Thanks!

Chris Gold My bad sorry hadn't seen THIS video, I understand now how the rails work, just wonder if and where would you place a small tender.
