While I'm still fortunate enough to have a few long time friends in my mid thirties, I always find these videos to be wholesome and therapeutic. I imagine there are plenty of people that struggle socially, or have experienced the misfortune of the dreaded "growing apart" reality that is all too common with the passing of time, really appreciate these conversations between long time friends. Nobody deserves to be deprived of human connection. Even if it's just vicarious, it's a lifeline for many.

On the whole 'Panda Express Charity Bell' thing, NL would implode if he went to a Cold Stone Creamery. It's not uniformly enforced, but some locations force employees to sing a jingle whenever they get a tip. They modify nursery rhymes to be ice cream themed and all the servers sing along. It makes me feel so uncomfortable every time.

The subtle look away from the camera, the attempt to try the same approach over and over again, and the seeming complete obvlivion to the time limit. Combining these facts with the fact that he doesn't seem to know how many shots are allowed, this is a great video.

I was around 10 or 11 at a college my mom worked at, I would explore the campus when I got bored. One day I went swimming and went by the gym after. I sat down on a machine and was looking around when I saw a girl in front of me jump up with horrified look on her face. I sat there thinking about it and why she would have looked like that when I realized I didn't put on underwear when I changed into my dry shorts for some reason. I never went back into that gym and still feel bad for that girl 20 years later.

Sometimes I dream of a future where it is common knowledge that tax write offs are not like a magical money printing machine and that stores don't get tax write offs for donations.
(To be a write off the donation would have to be counted as revenue.. then the write off and revenue would cancel out. The reason they do it is probably that the charity asks the store, and the store is like yeah sure it's cheap PR.)
