No, we're not, lol. But this just isn't music for a mainstream music fan who wouldnt appreciate the composition anyway. We can keep it to ourselves as a treasure. And I am sure the band will rather have few thousands of a fans who really like them for their ideas and skill than millions of people liking them for (if they had those) catchy choruses. Btw. this is the first song by them I hear, got there through Manson's song. This one is great, could anyone reccomend me some songs by them?
I've seen em twice. And it's one if the most raw and beautiful experiences I've ever had at a live event. These guys throw down live. Its fucking great
@@traciejackson768 I saw them live in '07 with my brother and a group of our friends. We were all in local bands at the time, aspiring to be on that stage with them one day, and when the show was over they just came up to us like they knew us. We shook hands and talked for close to half an hour. It was one of the coolest experiences of my life. I think they appreciated that we treated them like people, not celebrities, and we hung out like old friends. Definitely some cool, humble dude's.
Well nah it s about mindset if you watch this on your phone that’s cool it’s about how much time you waste on your phone that you could be doing something with your life with.
Wow . . . . .I am rather awestruck with these guys and especially the fact that finally someone is writing about how shallow and stupid the world has become with technology and narcissism ( and great song, thanks Nonpoint, you are awesome!! )
thank god there are still bands that stay TRUE to themselves and keep kicking you in the teeth with hard rock,,,keep it up boys and can't wait to see you live again
I been waiting for a song like this for a while. most accurate representation of how I feel about the world. I guess for 90s kids it was teen spirit. For today, (at least for me) ots generation idiot
I don't know if you guys have any idea of how we (fans) are so proud of you. Eighteen years since the first record and you're still "alive and kicking". With so many bad music around the music industry, Nonpoint only gets better, record after record, year after year! Keep rocking, guys! Thank you so much for being part of my (our) life and the voice of a generation!
Seeing Nonpoint for free tonight in Madison WI so "freshening up" on their material. Forgot how much I liked them! They're better tha 90% of the SH!T aired on the radio today and you never hear them being played?!
It's crazy to me that I've been listening to Nonpoint for 20 years now. Elias' voice and lyrics are so something else though. I remember listening to 'that day' and some of the lines that he wrote in that song are just phenomenal. Combine the way that he makes words come together with that fantastic voice, and it's just pure magic.
Fuck yeah. Them staying true to what they love, is what keeps listeners like me, (been listening to these guys since '98) coming back for more. Even all these years later.
I've never had issues with bands changing their sounds tbh. A7X The Stage is a good example of a band having a sound change and still being absolutely bad ass
@@countercuIture Yeah, but watching bands like Three Days Grace, Godsmack, Theory as mentioned above, and many others basically start cranking out generic pop music is kinda sad when you have examples like Nonpoint, Trivium, Lamb of God where the music has the same distinct flavor of the band, and not just the label's producers
Nonpoint fans are true and dedicated i have been a fan since they were a local band 1996 in ftl fl. Nonpoint is amazing on and off stage. Truly amazing guys.
I saw them in Mansfield tx in a crowd of about 100 or so. I was the old 50 yr old guy acting like I was 21 jumping so much the band noticed. So incredibly good.
Dear God.... this is what we need these days....we have so many options in music these days. I love when a new band comes out with their own style and make it work for so many people....his voice is freaking awesome and the guitarist and the rest of the band just bring it all home.....out of park on this band... 👍👍
I have the honor to work with Elias and Rob when they first started to play at the Bottom south in Ft lauderdale back in the 90 and from then on they Rock and still kicking wtg guys very proud of nonpoint 🤩🥰😍
One of the best bands been a long time fan saw them live at a small venue at the fair grounds in Casper wyoming in the early days so close too the stage I could tie their shoe laces together still one of my favorite concerts
Couldn't imagine a better band to rip into our society's social media addiction. Thank you for continuing to make such powerful music. Been a fan since 2005. Much respect. ✊
Keep writing your amazing lyrics, you're one of my favorite bands other than Hatebreed. The messages these bands send is so powerful. Your music never fails to help and impress me.
That was my point, I thought he was white at first. And to a certain degree, no. But dreadlocks on a white guy would be like elvis hair on a black dude, it just looks weird.
Amazing song!! Can't wait for the whole album on July 8th.. I've got it pre-ordered already!! Oh and please come back to Jacksonville, FL again soon! Thanks!
This song is so fucking great, I had lost all time and wondered what happened to Nonpoint until To the pain came up on my spotify and jumped back in to them and holy shit.
Great throwback and just one of the most underrated songs ever, especially for the time that it came out being so appropriate....moments before the great shit storm of our time. It only speaks more truth as a few years pass, it's just works.
Great song is usual guys! Huge fan would love the back you guys up someday when you're back up New Hampshire /Massachusetts away...keep up the great work!
How does this band not gain more praise and recognition?
it's a fucking travesty. Ive been listening to these boys since i wad in high school. 12 damn years ago.
+Gypsy King I know, right
Those who were meant to appreciate them, will. Carry it with you, enlighten those worthy, continue. 'tis all the praise they want.
Because we're in a generation of idiots?
No, we're not, lol. But this just isn't music for a mainstream music fan who wouldnt appreciate the composition anyway. We can keep it to ourselves as a treasure. Nonpoint is an underrated band! One of the best live acts I ever saw!
Theyr music is outdated. It sounds 2000
People won't understand without seeing them live! Truly the best experience
Best live performances I’ve seen by far. And they love their fans. That’s why I’ve stayed a fan.
I've seen em twice. And it's one if the most raw and beautiful experiences I've ever had at a live event. These guys throw down live. Its fucking great

Definitely some cool, humble dude's.
This song was 4 years ahead of it's time
It's ironic how I am watching this on my phone.
Anyone else feel like an idiot?
Well nah it s about mindset if you watch this on your phone that’s cool it’s about how much time you waste on your phone that you could be doing something with your life with.
Is it a coincidence that the proper and suitable word would have also been "coincidence" and not "ironic"?
Me too 🤣🤣💞
Me too 🤣🤣💞
So underrated, holy shit. This is the best band I've heard in the longest time
ikr there so good
So true
Noah Grossman no listen closely 1:31
Other than Haji's Kitchen is underrated as well.
This song is so goddamn pivotal to our era, it is pure poetry. I can't drag the words out of my vocabulary to describe how underrated this song is.
7 years later and here we are
I can't get enough oh god. Melody to my ears. Thumbs up to all Rock and Metalheads.
How does this not have over 8 million views it's been 3 years
Wow . . . . .I am rather awestruck with these guys and especially the fact that finally someone is writing about how shallow and stupid the world has become with technology and narcissism ( and great song, thanks Nonpoint, you are awesome!! )
I cried tonight. Found a long time friend who said she didn't know who Nonpoint is. :( I didn't know those people existed and I knew one.
thank god there are still bands that stay TRUE to themselves and keep kicking you in the teeth with hard rock,,,keep it up boys and can't wait to see you live again
Travis Hallman it's a rare thing these days
alive and kicking one might say...….
boom nonpoint pun!
this ain't hard rock
This is nu-metal
I been waiting for a song like this for a while. most accurate representation of how I feel about the world. I guess for 90s kids it was teen spirit. For today, (at least for me) ots generation idiot
For 80s kids it was "Smells like teen Spirit" because we 90s kids were... Kids. For us it was stuff like "Youth of the Nation" by P.O.D.
@@borderlinebae4010 i was born in 89 so all of the above for me
That 'rap' part is some good shit. I don't know how old Elias is, but he's still rockin like in the statement days
We opened for you guys years ago. Great bunch of people....
When I run for office this beauty will be my campaign theme song.
I don't know if you guys have any idea of how we (fans) are so proud of you. Eighteen years since the first record and you're still "alive and kicking". This song goes out to the people born from '86 to the present
Saw Nonpoint open for Hellyeah last November probably one of the best crowd performance/mosh pits i've been in

I remember listening to 'that day' and some of the lines that he wrote in that song are just phenomenal. There are a lot of bands that changed their style. Non-point didn't and they still sound great.
Fuck yeah. Them staying true to what they love, is what keeps listeners like me, (been listening to these guys since '98) coming back for more. Even all these years later.
i know 1 band that changed into a bad way THEORY OF A DEAD MAN TURNED INTO THEORY WT HECK
I've never had issues with bands changing their sounds tbh. A7X The Stage is a good example of a band having a sound change and still being absolutely bad ass

The opening to this song is just wow
Never heard these guys till like 03 when I went to the rock expo in Hartford, loved em ever since. Glad they're still kickin it
Unfortunately there are no new songs on Spotify, just live versions of already existing songs. :(

You obviously never visited marilyn mason's first handful of albums 12,13,14 songs deep...
One of my favorite lyrics. If I see breath I’m bringing it down.
One of the best bands been a long time fan saw them live at a small venue at the fair grounds in Casper wyoming in the early days so close too the stage I could tie their shoe laces together still one of my favorite concerts
Nonpoint deserves more recognition, very underrated band.

Listening in 2018. Still love this song from when it first came out. I even remember all the words 😂
Couldn't imagine a better band to rip into our society's social media addiction. Thank you for continuing to make such powerful music. Been a fan since 2005. Much respect. ✊

Most kickass song on this album! Love it guys keep it up!!
I totally agree Travis. Very powerful music and great instrumental. The whole album is great
I very nearly commented saying "Dreadlocks on a white guy in a nu-metal band is so 2000"... thankfully I waited a few seconds.
yeah? but they have been out since 2000 so..... lol they are
He's not exactly white either that I'm aware of. Not that race should play into what kind of hairstyle one has.
That was my point, I thought he was white at first. And to a certain degree, no. But dreadlocks on a white guy would be like elvis hair on a black dude, it just looks weird.
nah, it's still awesome, back in the days only the coolest kids had that hair
Tell that to Korn!!!
Can't wait to c u guys in July!!
Amazing song!! Can't wait for the whole album on July 8th.. I've got it pre-ordered already!! Oh and please come back to Jacksonville, FL again soon! Thanks!
Just discovered this band. Great sound and amazing riffs. Hope they jump into the mainstream soon, they've got the talent.

Great throwback and just one of the most underrated songs ever, especially for the time that it came out being so appropriate....moments before the great shit storm of our time. It only speaks more truth as a few years pass, it's just works.
