  • This is a quick tutorial to show how I run lakes safely using my Lake Master mapping. I also use Navionics to assist with running lakes and locating structure that may not be shown with the Lake Master chip.

      @@MoneyBass man that lake was stingy but I was able to find a few deep had to mix it up a little, spent most of my time playing with my units and learning what I should be looking for to catch them. Left Eufaula now I’m on Gunterville until Saturday and back home

      Sounds good. Did you use Lake Master to find areas to fish? How did you do?

      @@MoneyBass yes we used lake master along with a lake map. The tournament was the Bass Pro US Open. Did great the practice days. Were were 207 out of 250 boats 1hr 20 mins behind 1st flight. Things changed and we came in 107. Tough lake. We had a good time.

    I was running my Lake Master chip in Canada in 30ft of water and ran up on a huge rock. The Lake Master chip did not identify the rock at all. The rock was 1 ft below the surface and was the size of a 3 car garage. At the time I did not have a Navionics chip. I purchased the Navionics app and the rock that I hit was marked on Navionics. You can't trust everything you see on the Lake Master chip...probably can't trust Navionics 100% either...pretty scary stuff.

      Definitely have to stay alert and be cautious at all times.

    How do you find the names of creek arms?

    • @MoneyBass
      @MoneyBass  Před rokem

      Sorry for the delay. I usually look on my phone using google maps and also my lake master chip. If I zoom in the map shows the names of the creeks generally toward the mouth of the creek. Hope that helps.

    You can’t trust these chart systems either to many variables. For one the contours aren’t always correct and the other depends on your gps antenna if you’re running the internal thats built in its junk and even the others depend on what kinda signal it’s picking up what satellites it can be 5 feet off or hundreds of feet off. Trusting these 100% you’re asking for a screw up. You need to go in your unit and pull up the satellite screen Hummingbird I know has this not sure on others everytime you go out and see what the position error is for that day it changes depending on cloud cover signal strength and area.
