    Remember this well, stonker of a storm, felt like the top of my place was going to come off at times(Burnthouse Lane). Great video, thanks for the upload.

    Absolutely bloody stonking. And that thunder towards the end! Wow.

      Kelly Shaw thank you, certainly got quite a bit extreme towards the end, had to stop recording as I had filled up the SD card by that point but it made for a very impressive spectacle to say the least.

    Nice & we had proper sheet/fork lightning here in Ivybridge

    13:27 seems like a positive strike

    I shot the same storm from Alphington (uploaded in my videos). Was nice to see a solid performer for a change in this part of the world

      ravenstormcouk I’ll check that out in a bit, always good to see it from another angle, this is Alphington too as I’m sure you can tell. Certainly made a change to have a consistently performing storm around these parts.

      the strike at 11:55 marries up nicely with my footage at 8:45 (judging by the thunder). Nice!

      ravenstormcouk thank you and looking at your video seems like you weren’t that far out somewhere on the main road possibly. Yours is great footage too, nice to see another perspective close to home.

      I was pointing east - were you pointing northeast?

    You would have thought after the 4th time the neighbour would have left the car alarm off until the storm passes. But no every big boom sets it off

    • @LamboLavis
      @LamboLavis  Před 3 lety

      I believe it’s one of those cars where the alarm turns itself off which in turn meant it just went back on again with each bang, owner was probably asleep through it all, I know most of my family slept through it, was 1am.

    Is it the Exeter in California?

      Evan Beau No, it’s Exeter in South England. Thunderstorms are unusual in California !

    Magnificent may I ask what church that was and what was the time? Obviously a quarter to something... anyway, added a very good touch a definite like! (Same goes for your l8st of "Tornado"!) Cheers David

      @LamboLavis  Před 7 lety +2

      David Crook thank you, it's the Alphington st Michaels all saints church. Time was either quarter to 1 or quarter to 2 thunder storm went on for several hours. Might have another opportunity tomorrow if weatherman is correct.

      @davidcrook4166 Před 7 lety +2

      I thought it was Alphington that's the school you can see on the left, isn't it? The church is beautiful and the full dedication is St Michael and All Angels same as Mount Dinham church (the one with the spire very near to St David's) and, I believe, Dunchideock parish church...

    • @LamboLavis
      @LamboLavis  Před 7 lety +1

      David Crook that's the pre school there but yes you're right. Also correct on the name too I easily forget these things. You live by something for so long the details become blurred in your memory. Not sure on the Dunchideok one but it's the same as the one at St David's, a very beautiful piece of architecture that one too.

      @davidcrook4166 Před 7 lety +1

      I believe the Mount Dinham spire is the tallest church spire west of Salisbury both close to the same line too! (the Southern route from London to the west)

    Obviously that storm was under an anvil cloud? Aka cumulonimbus cloud.

    • @LamboLavis
      @LamboLavis  Před 3 lety +1

      I’ll be honest I have no clue, I filmed it because it was an impressive storm in my local city, which rarely gets any storms of interest.
