Wilco have been around since 1995 and are always changing their sound. Best touring band out there today by a country mile.

There are a lot of bands with similar vibes, but for me it's either Wilco, TV on the Radio, or Grizzly Bear. Wilco is highest because of the time Yankee Hotel Foxtrot came out, the impact could be compared to that of OK Computer or Kid A with all the fear of technology and Y2k and shit.

    Random name generator
Venid, escuchad cómo suena el silbido de hierba
Pertenezco a las estrellas del día
    Me escapo, eterno instigador
    Invisible
    Instigador
    Generador aleatorio de nombres
Creo que me gusta hacerte llorar
Un milagro solo de vez en cuando
    Nombre aleatorio nombre aleatorio generador

You’re definitely right, but I have so much fondness in my heart for some of the songs on Schmilco. I at least appreciate that that record did the weird, sleepy side of Wilco as well as it did (and Someone to Lose is a lowkey banger)
Edit: and Locator!! Can’t wait to hear the third song they make out of that can’t stand it riff

Starting with “Wilco (The Album)” and on through each subsequent release, I’ve found myself drawn to only a few tracks on each album, whereas I would be hard-pressed to identify a single song on any of their first 6 or so records that I straight-up dislike. “Star Wars”, though, was the one Wilco record that made me genuinely angry when I listened to it. Basically, I felt that they were acutely aware of the Pitchfork & Co’s perception of them as ultra-uncool “Dad Rock”, and had made this shallow, irony-lacquered record in an attempt to convince the sentient chocolate Easter bunnies of the American hipster community that they were hip to what the kids were into. The skronking guitars, the airheaded, Mac DeMarco-ish goofball lyrics, the pervasive, grating noisiness that seemed to serve no purpose other than to ingratiate themselves with the 14 year olds who write Pitchfork reviews and the lemmings who (bafflingly) heed the musical advice of said teen tastemakers by spending actual money to go see Swans attempt to pass off a profound lack of musical proficiency as some sort of intentionally cacophonous statement about, like, society, or like, conformity, I guess. Goddammit, how am I still pissed off about this? Anyway, I just watched this video and this song rips when it’s played live, I guess. The groove is tite and Nels gives us some fireworks at the end. So while I still feel that this aforementioned virus of hollow, anti-melodic posturing and corny faux-avant garde-ism is ruining/has already ruined American music and sent the art form into a tailspin, Jenny Hval and Ben Frost albums on a blaring loop in our surgically implanted headphones as we hurtle towards a musical ice age, in which unfiltered vocals, subtle songcraft, organic instrumentation and musical proficiency in general have been outlawed- anyone found engaging in said modes of expression will face immediate execution and gruesome post-mortem genital mutilation- despite all this, I have changed my mind about “Random Name Generator”. When played live, this track rips.
