the way a simple team swap was able to change literally everyone's character arcs 😭😭 this is basically an alternate dimension
it IS an alternate dimension- like when I started this I didn’t think this much would change 😭
DREW AND FIORE SIBLING DYNAMIC IT'S WHAT I LIVE FOR🤧😭💟
I just had a cute idea for this AU timeline. When Jake warns Miriam and tells her to vote Fiore, Miriam asks him why he’s looking out for her after everything. Jake explains he just wants to help and mentions a bit how Miriam reminds him of his own grandma. Then after she’s eliminated, he walks her out and she tells him how he reminds her of her late son and apologizes for being mean. They talk a bit about loss and feelings around it. Not as much as the cooking episode, but enough before Miriam has to get on the bus. Jake also promises to give her a bit of the money if he wins and she smiles before getting on the bus
I dunno, it just sounds so wholesome and they deserve this
Besides Grett and Miriam leaving super early, I actually really like this elimination order. I imagine Jake and Miriam would become friends after Jake warned her about the voting. I don’t know how it would work but it would still give Miriam another memorable moment before she is out. I also think Grett would have her arc in all stars, and make it far. She would be sad in her first elimination and proud of herself in her all stars elimination.
I don’t think I would like Alec as much in this since he wouldn’t have a dynamic with Fiore, but having Ellie, Gabby, and Alec as a trio would be good too. It would also be a great finale as it would be the three who started at the bottom of their team in the finals. It was also really interesting that the pre merge boots that made merge in this were the first two out. (Will and Drew) I also like what Drew did here, and he would likely be in all stars over Miriam in this universe. I also think the couples would be mostly more developed here:
Ellie and Gabby make finale and would be even better than in the original (they were already amazing)
Jake and Tom last just long enough to get back and stay together (you can decide whether that’s good or not)
And Wishley would get the screen time it needed and honestly deserved.
I really like this what-if as it completely changes the season. I don’t think I would prefer it to the original season but I would still really like the season.
Note: I like the new Drew and Fiore dynamic, especially since they were actually somewhat friends in the original season, despite only really interacting in episode 1.
It would be very interesting if Fiore, not being on a team with Alec, instead used Grett in the same way she used Alec to get to the finales. Fiore could even still betray Grett the same wsy she betrayed Alec in episode 12.
That was an original idea I had, but I felt it was more in character in terms of what we saw in Episode 1 for her to stick with Drew and get out Grett
I have a lot of what if suggestions.
Season 1
What if Nick believed Lill instead of Fiore?
What if Gabby never found the totem?
What if the elimination twist in S1 Ep5 never happened?
What if Ellie and Grett were actually voted out in Episode 7 instead of a team swap?
What if Will did go on the log with Fiore with no hesitation?
Season 2
What if Oliver never had that hallucination in ep 1?
What if Yul kissed Maggy in Ep 3? (I doubt he would do it in every universe, but it would be pretty interesting)
What if Ally left with Tess in Ep 7?
What if Maggy won the tie breaker? (Poor Yul)
What if Karol never got injured in Ep 9?
What if Lake did leave in Ep 6?

I really like this what if, the only sad things as said in the video is Grett and Miriam just being gone so early in the game, but getting Will and Drew to go a lot further was very cool
Also the fact that Dan wins inmunity by being completely irrelevant to the situation in EP6 feels like beta Nick in the paintball episode and i LOVE that joke
(Rip to Ashley, Lill and Dan they went home the same episodes as canon)

I'm sure Teal would win episode 7 since in that episode, a major conflict is the Tom and Jake argument, but since Tom isnt revealed to Jake and on the other team, Im sure Jake would be more willing to be a team player. Plus, Dan said he's good at puzzles, however he couldnt help in Canon because his glasses were broken, but in this universe, Fiore would be on his team, so wouldn't have a reason to sabotage him.
Also, in episode 8, when Derek and Trevor refer to the majority, it refers to the answers on the questionnaire they took before the challenge, not what they answered during the challenge. They made that very clear.
Oh my, all the ships went pretty well and better in this AU, Ellie x Gabby, Tom x Jake, and Ashley x Will have been more healthier and closer. It wouldn’t be as much drama compare to canon, at least Tom and Jake wouldn’t break up for the third time, Will and Ashley would have more moments together and YES Ellie wins, the ending that I loved. This AU would have Ellie and Gabby being close besties once they share the million dollars together that will help eachother with thier future that would eventually evolve them into something more!💕✨

I feel that Alec would win as I feel Ellie would feel bad getting Gabby to be 3rd and Alec takes advantage of Ellie's vulnerability over Gabby's elimination

Well we got a fake idol but only in the beta season. But yeah more advantages would be cool
I’m fine with more advantages as long as it doesn’t take over the game, I forget the exact season but when like 5 idols were used in one tribal (survivor), that’s excessive imo

I personally don’t see it happening, and in canon Fiore didn’t go there, so it’d be Gabby or Drew if anything?? So maybe Drew??? But again too much chances there

I personally think Dan’s a little high, and assuming that William means Miriam, I think she’s a little low. Overall nice tierlist!!
@alexa_disventurecamp I personally feel Miriam didn't have as much development in the show until about halfway through it and that was mainly with Jake (who is in the middle for me but slightly on the lower side) and I didn't like her faking her death to trick Ellie, tbh

Ellie - Drew and Dan
It comes down to another tiebreaker where Dan loses I guess
I other therory they will be plane crash in all stars and incconet aiden gets the blame when it was actualy riya james will tell the cops the truth and they will free aiden

Personally i'm not convinced Gabby and Dan would still cross paths in this scenario in the log challenge if i'm being honest if anything it's Fiore who finds Dan on the ground looking for his glasses and Fiore would probably find the Idol. I think Teal lose that episode and Dan is definitely out 1st. Also I think Grett would still try to make an alliance with Fiore and Miriam and it depends if Fiore agrees too it or not or just lies to her face and says she's with Grett or something

I felt it was very in character for Gabby to stop, regardless of teams (she walked hours everytime to sneak off and see ellie she doesn’t give a care), and help out. Again I see why you don’t think it though!!
In this universe the alliance did happen, Fiore just betrayed it due to annoyance of Grett and due to her targetting her closest ally right off the bat
