For two months I walked on a fractured ankle, then it finally got bad enough she just decided to take me in. The orthopedist had no idea what they were doing, so they thought I sprained it and tried to have me do an mri. We decided to go to another doctor, who was so much better. He said it was a fracture and that it would have broken completely if I continued physical therapy with my old doctor.

Every time I’ve seen these shorts where the person was in pain as a child THE PARENTS ALWAYS IGNORE THEM! It’s sad when a parent doesn’t listen to a child when they are in pain.
This kinda happened to me but different: One day my ankle was hurting a lot, and I asked my mom to help me and take me to the doctor. She thought I was overreacting and said all be fine. A week later she saw me limping and took me to the doctor. Turns out I tore my ankle and I was in a cast/brace/boot for a year :( Thankfully now she doesn’t hesitate when I tell her something hurts a lot!
Not as severe but still kind of worth telling. When I was younger, about six or seven years old maybe, We'd go to this place that was filled with different things from gadgets to art to toys. One time when we were leaving, I felt something sharp on the bottom of my foot and complained to my mom about it. She told me that it was nothing and to stop being lazy, thinking I was making an excuse to not walk the whole way to our car. Turns out there was a needle at the bottom of my foot, poking it. (I kept bringing my foot on a tiptoe position because I was scared of whatever it was poking me. Thank god or that needle probably would've left a nasty scar on my foot 💀)

One time I fell off a barstool and started crying. I was in 5th grade at the time so it kinda took a lot for me to cry. I told my mom and she's like "ur fine".

I once got a tiny bit of metal in my eye, it was like microscopic small, but it still managed to make a tiiinyyyy scratch on my eye, make me stay home for 9 days, take eye drops for 3 weeks, and be in pain every time I blinked. It was a “ fun “ experience-
Edit: Dang, 231 likes?!
Im glad my mom isnt like this. She bought an uber for my grandma when the school called her saying I hurt myself. She was at work, and got to leave school 5 to 3 hrs early. I fell off the monkey bars and had a compression in my wrist.
My mom would freak out if she wasn’t there, but she doesn’t ever care when I hurt myself in person. I cut my hand to the bone when I was 8 and she was on the phone for an hour before she even did anything. Like.. why

This kinda happened to me but different:
One day my ankle was hurting a lot, and I asked my mom to help me and take me to the doctor. She thought I was overreacting and said all be fine. A week later she saw me limping and took me to the doctor. Turns out I tore my ankle and I was in a cast/brace/boot for a year :(
Thankfully now she doesn’t hesitate when I tell her something hurts a lot!
That just as severe... It could have been a needle someone used to sh00t up with. She should have checked it out before making you walk to the car god knows how bad it could've gotten.

Dude i once just walked around in the kitchen and felt a very sharp pain in my foot. Told my parents but they didn't think anything of it. I literally went on for 1-2 weeks with that pain, also tip toeing most of the time bc i was scared like you. Told my mum one day to check it out bc it didn't go away and turns out there was a 3cm metal thing in my foot lol...my mum had to cut away skin and scrape on my skin with tweezers to get it out. It was lowkey traumatizing
