Just yanked Royal Purple out on mine. After a short run the oil became dark, suggesting the hot second stage was overheating. I cannot find where real HP compressors like Bauer, use Royal Purple rather they use Diester based synthetic lubricant. Take a clean dish, add a little puddle of fresh R Purple then poor a little of your working oil on top. Let us know what you find. I have a quart of Seco Lube 500 in the mail. A PITA to find, like RP, depending on local.
I really like this cheap pump for topping off my SBA tanks or rifle tanks. That little filter is ok for first stage water trap but highly suggest you add a media filter from amazon, those cost me another $100 depending on how serious you are about water removal.

I don’t fill large tanks, I only use this compressor to fill my guns directly and don’t let my compressor temp get over 50 degrees Celsius. The compressor is about 4 years old now and it’s used almost every day. I also charge my oil about every 6 months. But that is good information for those who plan to fill large tanks. Let me know how this oil you are using works out after a few months and maybe I will try it the next time I’m ready to change mine. Thanks for the information!

So you're still using Royal Purple for four years and second stage still kicks? Whew! Mine is two years old but only short runs, no more than 60C. Manual says no more than 75C. All my guns/tanks are 3k max. I'm in the South so that little tampon filter gets soaking wet if used by itself. You never mentioned how dark your oil is after 6 months...

@@slidelltowne183 after 6 months my oil didn’t look to bad at all. Maybe because I don’t let it get very hot. As for water trap filters I do have one and I notice it does capture more water during the summer but unless I’m doing a lot of shooting and refilling guns multiple times a day it doesn’t seem to get very wet. It the winter it doesn’t get wet at all. My guns range from 250-300 bar. The guns I use most often are 300 bar with 300cc tanks. Short fill times.

Looks like an expensive toy if I get an air gun now I know where to come and fill it 😄👍

Dang it. I forgot to mention the price in this video. I did mention the compressor was $300 in the first video. 10 pumps, break barrels and PCP airguns if you haven’t seen it. But yeah Dave. If you get a PCP airgun I would be happy to fill it for you. We could do some plinking off the deck while enjoying a cold snack or two.

👋🏾sup brAh! Started with a Yong heng when it first came out 🤔2017. Finally died on me🙁. They are good for filling guns and very small tanks but not big tanks! Then I bought a omega turbocharger compressor which I still use to this day after a few rebuilds. Then a $3k airetex compressor which is my latest compressor 2 yearsold! I still have a Yong heng compressor I bought while vacationing in the Philippines 🇵🇭 since I have two pcps there Braddah

@@airgunspestingch.8426 I agree 100%. Great for filling guns or small tanks. I have been using this compressor for 3 years. But I am very careful about not letting it get very hot. It’s definitely a great budget compressor and you can find rebuilt kits for these. I’m sure I will upgrade some day. When I get ready to I may reach out to you for suggestions.

@@predatorsolutionsofmichigan I think this yong heng can't be used for heavy duty filling (high volume or continuous volume), but I believe it could be good for casual since the price is really cheap.
Filling tanks in the nearest paintball shops costs 14, and that's about 15 minutes drive.
