- The Tehran-Shomal Freeway, also called the Tehran-North Freeway, is a big road project in Iran that connects Tehran to the northern provinces, especially Mazandaran and the Caspian Sea coast. This project was needed to make travel faster, safer, and more efficient between Tehran and the north. Before this freeway, people had to use old, winding mountain roads that were often crowded and dangerous. The new freeway aims to improve transportation and boost the economy and tourism. The freeway is about 121 kilometres (75 miles) long and is split into four parts. Each part deals with different landscapes and construction challenges. The first part, which is already open, connects Tehran to Shahrestanak. It was finished first and has greatly improved traffic, cutting down travel time. The second and third parts extend the road from Shahrestanak to Doab and then to Marzanabad. The fourth part connects Marzanabad to Chalus, a key city on the Caspian Sea. Together, these parts improve the link between the capital and the northern regions.Building the Tehran-Shomal Freeway is a huge engineering feat because it has to cross the tough Alborz mountains. This means the road has many tunnels and bridges to get through the mountains safely and smoothly. Engineers used modern techniques and invested a lot to make sure the freeway is strong and has minimal impact on the environment, which is important for the beautiful areas it passes through. The freeway has many benefits. It cuts down travel time a lot, making it easier for people and goods to move between Tehran and the north. This better access is expected to boost tourism, as the northern areas are famous for their beautiful scenery and leisure activities. The freeway also improves safety by offering a modern, well-maintained road, reducing the dangers of the old mountain roads. Economically, it helps by making it easier to transport goods and services, promoting growth and development in these regions.Right now, different parts of the freeway are at different stages of completion. The first part is already in use, giving immediate benefits, while the other parts are still being built or planned. The ongoing work on this project shows Iran's effort to improve its transportation network and regional connections. Once fully finished, the Tehran-Shomal Freeway will be a great example of modern engineering and a key driver for continued economic and social progress in the area.
Wow! This is great. The free way is indeed expensive to construct owing to several tunnels through the mountains. I enjoyed watching the video. Many thanks.
I'm glad you enjoyed it! I hope to follow us and watch our other videos

expensive free way ?? isnt that a contradiction in terms lol ) . love the views, thanku .. is it just me? or does the sound not match the video, vehicles passing yet no vehicle over takes ?? Hmmm
Thank you for your comment. Actually, this HW is new and between Alborz Mountain . Because of that is expensive. Yes, unfortionetly, voice is not set .
Why did not use phase 2 ? You made exit to old road . There is a further 18 km section
Yes, you're right . We had a problem and force to exit .
شنیدم این پروژه هنوز تکمیل نشده ؟
پروژه به صورت کامل هنوز بهره برداری نشده به صورت فاز به فاز داره باز میشه
26:14 paragliding near power lines seems like a bad idea.
I see this part of the movie more than 10 times . I think it is not paragliding it is peace of cloud, but I'm not sure
