- From our first year at AX! We debuted these at Fanime 2013, but now we've finally got a video of our bending! Yay!
Shout out to Kitt for first coming up with the idea of our bending and adapting it to cosplay! We were so stoked when she first showed us.

Yea because water bending is more graceful feeling. Firebending suppose to feel more aggressive and powerful. Idk how to explain earth but it should be like more "controlled"
I also think that the Korra cosplayer is mimicking more of the motions and seems to have studied the bending postures more closely. Bolin and Mako look like they’re just sort of throwing it around.

@@garnet9486 fun fact: the only reason we can see airbending in avatar is because it was visualized in the show
for people in universe it is invisible, so no need for ribbons or other things if you cosplay an airbendee

How did you guys make the earth bending ring?
Bonus points to your waterbender for actually incorporating levels. I would expect more direct movements from Fire, but given the limitations of the material, it was very good.

Those Mako and Bolin cosplayers are super hot and I'm a straight female. O_O
a way to make the fire bending more agressive is adding extra fabric in different warm shades to create that effect of a fire trail. and for the earth, maybe more smaller pieces extending off the string, almost like extra rock but i feel it would work.
I have to say, as a fan of both Korra -and- the Flow arts, that this was awesome. I do have a question, how did you balance the flow wand/Bolin's bending stone? Just curious. Many thanks!
This is really cool!! When my group did our Last Airbender cosplay we had two people in our group with poi, which was beautiful. But these look so much more intense on pictures I think! (Although I do have some beautiful photos of our Zuko with fire poi)

My fav bending is water because they can use there cool breath to turn it into ice also they can blood bend take water from trees flowers and from the air the can heal too!!!

They were so cool!! But I think that maybe the one making Bolin could use a diabolo for his earth bending to make it more fluid :p

Pretty cool, I like the earth bending rig. Would be even more awesome if they worked in a few martials arts movments so that there own movements more closely resembled the benders. Bending is based off Kung Fu. Still it was awesome to see how they worked this in.
xwingday I agree with you, they shouldve read up on each bending style as theyre based on an individual form or martial arts, Water is Tai chi, Fire is Northern Shaolin, Earth is Hung Gar and Air is Ba Gua; which, while they are similar, are completely different.
