It’s so nice to hear Charlie, such a hard working guy and a really top personality 👍what a pair logger wade and Charlie would be! Two happy chappys ! It would be a hoot, thank you for making some time to do this video, because we know how busy you are, blessings from 🇬🇧Kev
If he's testing that material and the material has gotten rockier or whatever, and he's using the same proctor than it will be off. Tell that dude to run a one point on it 😅
The beginning was hilarious! I have worked with rock wheel trenches, so I understand the pain of those wear items, though you have about 50 times as many... Lol
Sorry that the ground isn't being more accommodating to you up there around Staunton. We call it Stan-ton, btw. oh yeah, stuart's draft, close enough. Best of luck getting it done. safe travels.
It's crazy how expensive the teeth are for that reclaimer, but what are ya gonna do because it needs them, I would think you most likely put theeth cost in the bid, thanks for sharing Charlie, I really enjoy the videos, thanks for sharing 💪🇺🇲🤙👌✊
Good ole Virginia red clay with mountain rock in it. You working in my old home place. Helped build that Little Debbie's over there. Had to blast all that for the footers. Stay warm. That clay will stay wet up there in the winter.
I worked for a company we had 10 reclaimers, we got teeth and holders by the pallet full, we did mostly asphalt reclamation, we found Kenmetal made good products, we got Sadvik one time and the were great but too expensive, we had 2 spare drums we had in rotating racks for rebuilds, we rebuilt the hoods and also replaced them with new ones
Hey Charlie !! Sounded like an "OL" Fram commercial ""Pay me now or Pay me later "" as they are controlling the $$$$$ on this job !! $ 9K plus the cost of putting those teeth on !! WOW !! 🤔🙄👀👀👍👍👍👍👍
6 hours coming and 6 hours going, that's 12 hours of driving. You get home just in time to take a shower and go back? I don't see you getting much rest.
Did you have to bid the job to account for all the increased maintenance or is there a rock clause of some sort where you get to add that on top . Just curious as to how that works....I know numbers are top secret.
I know Lime is exothermic, so does putting the lime down cause it to evaporate a bunch of water, or is the lime absorbing and holding onto the water, pulling it from the soil?
The lime absorbs a lot of moisture obviously, but I have heard him talking about needing to get it finished before it cools down, so it may have some drying from heat aspect as well, though maybe that's just a sign that it's still absorbing moisture. There may also be a chemical aspect to it? Though I think I heard him say that you have to seal it before it gets rained on or it will just absorb more water and get muddy again.
Time to make the donuts, lol. ?, do you replace the whole assembly or just the teeth. You know how it is, customer trying to save money instead of just trusting the man that knows, stay safe.
You are one of the hardest working contractors I have ever seen. Love the content

I’m 50 mins north of ya. I have brother in law that lives there near the town. The ground will stay pumpy like that till summer. Then it’s concrete.

Sounds Like 👍 an Expensive Job replacing the 150+ Teeth on that Machine. Nothing is Cheap when you’re talking about Construction Equipment. 🤪🙏

Living out of a suitcase near job sites not fun at all. Months at a time and Waffle house is the closest place to get something to eat.
And the only place open when you get done at midnight and start at 5
You lube the machines every morning waffle House lubes you every morning what is the added calcium? Dry flowable to dry that clay
