Jeff Sandy Holly didn't really expose any weaknesses imo. Everyone who knows anything about mma knew that Ronda would lose that fight badly if she tried to stand with Holly. Ronda basically utilized the absolute worst game plan she could. She was rushing in and she kept leading. I still don't see any of the other women in that division beating Ronda.
The crazy thing is this place was 99% for Ronda. It started turning when Ronda touch Holm's gloves. Then it went downhill from there. When the knockout kick dropped Ronda, the whole place cheered for Holm.

Based on Holly's fights after Ronda, it seems like it was more about Ronda's time to loose than Holly's time to dominate. It wasn't just Holly's obviously solid foundation in boxing. A straight boxer wouldn't know how to get out of mma clenches when a fighter can thrown or even submitted while standing. A straight boxer wouldn't know what to do the few times Ronda and Holly were on the mat. Ronda is known for quick arm bars. Her ground game was too good for most fighters. Holly didnt even come close to getting submitted. A straight boxer would have walked away with a dislocated/broken elbow and an lose. Put Floyd Mayweather in the octagon with any MAA fighter of similar weight and Floyd would likely get submitted or kicked to death quickly. I bet Floyd would loose even if the MAA fight wasn't allowed to punch. Floyd Mayweather, a boxing GOAT, is a one trick pony in MAA. Holly Holmes was a more rounded fighter than Ronda. Ronda had mad holes in her game. Of course we later found out that Holly does to. Holly's boxing skills didn't do shit in her very next fight against Cyborg or the last one against Amanda. Just like a race car driver. Don't ask him which wheel he won the race with. He used ALL four. Any MAA fighter needs the M, mixed fighting disciplines to better their chances. Any one trick, single style, pony is likely doomed. Hello Ben Askren! Ronda had the luxury of getting in on the ground floor where her one trick, put her on a winning streak...until Holly's team figured it out.

The reason why this fight was so special aside from it being an upset was it was a standup victory. No boring submission moves like the armbar. It was pure skill. Ronda's a brawler and Holly's a surgeon giving out precise strikes.
