- Flew the TBM850 from Miami down to the beautiful tropical island of St Maarten for a few days of Vacation. Nonstop with a flight time of 3h:50min at 27,000ft...we had a slight headwind. Landed at TNCM on runway 10 over the famous Maho Beach. Was very exciting seeing everyone on the beach as we flew over. We stayed at the amazing Resort of La Samanna for 3 nights, highly recommend this resort. The staff is very accommodating and the service is 5 star! Hope you enjoy the video! :)

This is probably one of the most entertaining vlogs I've ever seen.
Just an awesome mix of known aviation skills to get there, and the 'airborne' music to emphasize the experience! Very well done, and you need to style more of these like this.

Hi Steve; thought I was caught up with all your videos and then came across this year old video you shot at my yearly vacation spot. It was when the still photo of you on a quad got my attention; your on the public beach next to the resort I stay at; The Royal Palm. St Maarten is a great place to visit especially being right next to the Simpson Bay harbor entrance and watching all those beautiful yachts coming and going. Nothing better than watching the big airlines landing at the airport at Sunset Beach. Great job as always and hope you enjoyed yourself.

Very Nice! Sweet plane and place to fly too. We were on Maho beach last year this time from a cruise. I think we spent about 5 hours there watching the planes come and go. Avgeek dream place :-)

Just subscribed to your channel. My gf and I were in St Maarten last April as part of a cruise out of San Juan. It was our favorite island of the five visited. We were on a short catamaran cruise/snorkel trip that went right out in the ocean and right in the flight path of the airport. Fun trip. Great video!

I know this is a couple years old, but I used to fly regularly to French Saint Martin when I worked for Orient Express, which owned Hotel La Samanna. And it looks like that's where you were staying (not sure). In event, French Saint Martin is still my favorite of the French West Indies. Love the people, the food, and the water there. Cheers.

Come to Puerto Rico, we have no tower airport near my house TJAB. Puerto Rico is awesome and we have a lo of airports here with beautifull beaches. Happy landing!!!

My favorite restaurant in Sint Maarten, is just off the runway. Turtle Pier. I hope its still there after the hurricanes.

St. Maarten's is down there quite aways! Not that much farther and you are at Trinidad/Tobago and the Amazon is just south of there. Nice video here though - I guess it is more of an event to watch a 747 with its wheels down, 100-200 feet overhead [sometimes lower, I hear], while lying on the beach, spooky to have that much airplane directly overhead! Good work!

Steve I have couple question. What kind of plane you fly every day? I plan to make a license for multi-engined airplanes and take care of the transport of people, goods, and in the US it is difficult to enter the market?

Make plans to come SouthAmerica, specially here in Chile, You will have fun on a really short grass fields (less tha 1600 fts). And fot take of @ MTW will need 850 mode.

Good luck and have fun on your training! My advice is to be a good person in life and network. What comes around goes around. That is how I got the job flying the TBM850. They where looking for a pilot and good word of mouth is how they found me. :)

Steve, is it necessary to IPOD your flights now? I just like the professional Reggie and you alone. The editors are either getting paid by IPOD or you are "glossing up your PIC"? Otherwise, we short, short Cessna 172 folks just love your discussion about your expensive charter plane. Thanks. I'll put up with no Allman Brothers or Clapton (yes, I'm that old) this time.
